I've been watching alot of sport this summer, the euros, Wimbledon (Andy Murray's a cock) and now the Olympics. With lots of transfer speculation at the moment I've had Sky Sports News on as soon as I've come home from work and I've noticed something........ All Cricketers and Cricket Are Shit For a start Kevin Peterson is from south Africa and yet he's the captain of our national side... I watched them warming up before some one day match at Old Trafford a couple of weeks ago and they were playing football on the pitch.... Then 2 days later they were playing f**k**g rugby.... No wonder we seem to get beaten all the time, why cant they get stoned and pissed up like Phil Tuffnel used to!! Now I don't now anything about cricket and I dont really want to, but if you want to win sure to god you should practice the sport your supposed to be playing. Now as far as I'm concerned Cricket Players epically England players, want to be footballers.....With there stupid f**k**g Beckham esq hair cuts and there gay little wristbands on... I'm sorry if I've offended anyone who's on here who plays cricket I'm not aiming it at you. Its just these Ponce's who play for England get on my nerves. They even have the cheek to class them selfs as sportsman? ? The bowler and the guy batting are the only ones who do anything, the rest of them stand around with there cocks in there hands all morning then stop for 'LUNCH' WHAT THE f*ck IS ALL THAT ABOUT....Wearing those sh*tty horrible sunglasses, just because there expensive, that dosn't mean there nice!! (Oakley's are wank by the way)!!!!!

Doesn't seem many people actually like cricket. I don't mind it either way but I think they must have to be quite skillfull to read to game in play, like which way the ball will turn etc ...erm, obviously my knowledge of cricket is limited but do you really think they are as jumped up as footballers? I love football but I think the game is getting ridiculous with the amount of players in it for the cash! I suppose that's the way every game is going now

Right!!! FOOTBALLERS. In all honesty if some guy says to you ' I want to pay you £150k Per Week AFTER TAX and before your bonuse' There is no way your going to say 'f*ck off, I keep it real me. I'm all about the football' are you?
Your going to snatch his hand off and start smashing the f**k out of one of Girls Aloud (well you would!!)
You would be a bit if plank if you didn't!!!
There just cocks in other ways, selling there weddings to hello, doing there own perfume or clothing line blah, blah, blah!!!

Yeah your not going to turn it down but something has to be done sooner or later.
Maybe the wage cap they keep going on about or it won't be long before someone gets 200k a week, I know some of them are probably getting more than that with all the extra deals etc but it's getting out of hand!
Beckham's got a lot to answer for, what next? Footballers with there own tv shows *cough*

AND ANOTHER THING, When there being interview on Skysports on a sunday after the game EVERY SINGLE ONE OF EM GIVE THE SAME ANSWERS......Were's your personality?? Where's Gazza when you need him....Its terrible Michael Own, Gary Nevile and David Beckham all say the same thing...'GOOD TEAM PERFORMANCE.... None of em are half as articulate as our liam are they! I've always thought cricket is a boring sport - who watches it - it goes on for days boring! And footballers are generally knobs well not all of I have a (past) football legend in my family and DEFINATELY had a personality!

I'm a big cricket fan... I prefer test matches over one day games. Since the Ashes and the introduction of Twenty20 the amount of money flying into the game is ridicolous now thus players, mainly the international players, are becoming more and more like footballers.

I'm a big cricket fan aswell, its great if you get to undertand it but in all fairness no one can be bothered learning the rules because it takes to long, that's why football is the national sport, because its so simple.

I can understand why people dont like it, but I am a big fan of the game and used to love playing it. I couldnt sit down and watch an average 4 day county game. that is boring, but I will continue to watch England. People say the only people doing anything are the bowler and batsman. That is fair to some degree but it is such a tactical sport. It might not appear like it but there is a reason why every ball is balled the way it is. The field is set according to the bowlers game plan. You have to be very mentaly strong and every player on the pitch plays his part, all be it not every ball.
Regarding the wrist bands etc etc, todays top sportsman are all in the public eye. I hated those f*cking livestrong bands that everyone was wearing (although for a good cause) but if you are at the top of your game and in the public eye some people are going to make you jump on that bandwagon for publicity.
If people think cricketers are looking more like footballers I can only see that as being a good thing. Footballers are pin ups and role models not just in sport but in fashion etc etc. Cricket needs to be pulled up to the modern day and young 'trendy' stars are a good way to do that in my opinion.

I just dont get it, i'm all for people enjoying sports. But there just knobs!!! SORRY!!

If its not for you, its not for you. But for someone who admits to know nothing about the game and then to rule out every England cricketer as a knob seems way over the top. Also like it or not, footballers are role models, whether you see them to be or not doesnt change the fact that for millions of people around the world they are. Just as much as rock stars are. Kids will always copy what ever their favourite players do.
