Is there any particular reason why you seem to make outrageous claims about bands on a daily basis Rick?

Outrageous claims? Music's about opinions. Over all last year of the the 'new' bands I've heard Los Campesinos! were head and shoulders above anything else I came across. Obviously Elle Milano aren't the 'best band' in the country. No such thing exists. Except in my head, where they are better than anything else I listen to. PS "Daily basis" is a bit of a push, some would say that's an outrageous claim  |

Rick, you are right music is all about opinions. Yes, you do not make these claims on a daily basis, sorry. However i could not disagree with you more about Los Campesinos and Elle Milano. Furthermore The Cribs are an unbelievable band but i am not surprised that you do not like them because anyone who associates themselves with bands such as Los Campesinos and Elle Milano, is not likely to want to listen to anything with any actual meaning, poignancy or value.
Would i be correct in thinking that you just like sort of "Fun Music" Rick? Bob the Builder, Aqua? this sort of thing? Or are you just going through a difficult stage at the moment?
At least you like The Courteeners and The Subways !

Yep, gotta love those Subways. How do you know the album excedes your wildest expectations if its not out til April? For some reason it got released in Japan two weeks ago, so I bought it from there.  |

Elle Milano are quite simply amazing. live they are really lacking, but i found a leaked version of the album with a dodgey song from another band stuffed in there. The album is stunning. Unfortunatly i think i will like it more than the courteeners. I'm not a fan of the cribs, does that mean i like aqua too? I don't like los camp either. so how does that work? Elle Milano's lyrics are brilliant, i think they have found a niché in the way they approach certain subjects. I think its full of "actual meaning, poignancy or value" unlike the subways, who are frankly awful lyrically, (yet still provide a sincilating performance) At least in my opinion |

Subways are mega, i think some of their lyrics are amazing and some are awful, but the actual songs as a whole are all brilliant and one of the best bands ive seen live.

Ironically Elle Milano were being touted as the support for The Subways tour in April. Pretty sure they're not doing it though  |
