yeh 'be here now' is a great album, i think it got a bit of media/public backlash because the standard of the first two albums were so high, but if any other band released that as a debut album, people would have been raving about. agree that most of the the tracks are too long.

on zane lowe noel made some quality statements about be here now, how it was a representation of its time and the state of the band at the time, 5 cokeheads going into a studio hot of the heels of an unsuccesful USA tour

I don't think Noel helps it either tho with his hate for that album lol That's spot on, he panned it far to much I think it was down to the fact that everyone else did initially and all the shit that happend whilst the were recording it. I still listen to it, I thought it was going to be better after I heard 'D'yer Now What I Mean'. I think they could play those songs better now they have better musicians in the group. You could po-go your tits off to some of that stuff and I bet the demo's are brilliant? |

i would love to here some of those tunes given the full work over by the current line up of oasis, it'd be mint, they should start playing a few from be here now and maybe even bring back its good to be free, on the strength of that being a classic

Tbh I cant stand the verve, they're the poor man's Oasis, or Oasis with a little less bottle. So I couldnt care less about their return, as long as they don't plague my first trip to T in the Park ill be happy. Not bothered out the Oasis album either, think they peaked a long time ago, but still enjoy listening to them

Nowhere near 60....Cal you cheeky git!! lol He was sound, not grumpy at all and happy enough to chat to people, sign autographs and have piccies taken even though he was just out with his missus for a nights social drinking following a Dogs gig. He's always signed up stuff prior to gigs as well. Got a well rehearsed routine in that between the bus and the venue he wont sign but will then do some once inside. Met Rick and Bruce a few times this past year as well and they are top fellas as well. |

Oasis have flown out to Los Angeles to finish recording their seventh studio album with Producer David Sardy. Once recordings are complete, they will stay in L.A. to mix the album.
Why the f*ck is it taking so long they seem to have been arsing around with this album forever. 4 months to record 16 tunes and there not even mixing it yet???
They recorded Morning Glory in a week......lazy bastards.
