Just booked flights from Leeds Bradford for sum total of 2 pence return (no taxes). Anyone else on here going to this ? I was abit surprised that tickets were still available as Whelans, I believe, only holds around 400. Playing Belfast aswell the day before but I couldn't stretch to both. Got to find some cheap accomodation now - if anyone knows anywhere in Dublin pls let me know. cheers

whelans is quite small alright, but its a monday night and theres a ridiculous amount of gigs in Dublin at the moment.. i would guess it mightnt even be sold out on the night. depends how cheap/basic your lookin for. hostels are obviously the cheapest option, can find decent ones for €20 from what ive heard: www.hostelworld.com/hostels/Dublinive also heard this place is pretty good: www.charlesstewart.ie/its on the opposite side of the city to whelans but you could still walk it

Yeah i'll be there in all my glory, can't wait! Yeah Whelans is pretty small, doubt it will sell out at this stage although with No You Didnt, No You Dont getting more airplay now that it's the next single it might pull in a few more people!! Yeah im goin to Belfast the day before too, think the Speakeasy is even smaller than Whelans, think it's a student bar! Yay, then its Oxegen 4 weeks later!!!!

The gig was fantastic! Amazing! Being used to big gigs it was really weird being so close to the band and the stage! Met Liam at 6.00 and took some pictures! Really a nice but a nice guy! I'm sure their future will be very bright!

I was thinkin theyd have a temporary barrier up. great that they didnt! The bit where the microphone went into the crowd (landed on my face) and we kept singin then they picked up where we left off was brilliant!!

Without a doubt the craziest gig I've ever been to in Whelan's! Fookin mad. The 19/20 year- olds going crowd surfing made me feel like a very old boring 24 year old standing at the sound desk just enjoying it! I was actually surprised they didnt play a bigger venue. I don't think the organisers expected the crowd they got in Whelans. Great to see the band in such a small venue, don't think I'll get that chance again.
