This is a place where I try out this and that to see what it looks like on the forum, the catalogue was conceived in there (sore talking point though) and I hope to do a lot of work in there today

Sorry for my latest lack of involvement but you lot always get by on your own with our cracking staff members .

I'm currently doing a mass sort out; computer, ebay shop, personal life have all been undergoing updates ;D

My computer was in a right state, how on earth do you gather 7GB of pictures and my S&C folder was over 9GB!!
I had to wait about 5 mins for the d**n thing to start up, so it really needed a clean-up.

The ebay shop had been neglected for a while and since the misses has nothing to do with it any more I'm the one who has to sort it out - it's been a nice change to make some new badges though.
Had a great sale the other day, someone bought 15 badge sets in one go, making a nice 45 quid (before any costs).

I thought things couldn't get any worse, then my badge machine breaks
So after a few good record sales on the bay the money has to go towards a new machine - oh well I suppose it's served it's purpose for a few years & the shop is kind of my livelihood now...

Well that's what has been going on in my life (really interesting - not) still a lot of personal sh*t to get through but I'll be back on S&C soon & to be honest I'm dying to get back

Wow, 7GB of pictures. My uncle had the same problem last week, he puts his thousands of slides onto the PC and took up stupic memory, they are like 8MB each, shame I'm not clever enough to downsize them.

I won't be around much at the start of the week as I'll be working away in London, near Wembley, I really don't like the place but I've never really been on a proper night out there

I'll have my mobile to use a modem but it's well expensive (and slow), so I may give that a miss.
Got to complete my tax return before end of October and will probably end up doing that in the evenings anyway, so be good and don't f**k about

I'm back but later than I thought! Ended up working all week but travelled it Wed-Fri, so was to knackered to come on here.

Got to say I still don't miss London, horrible experience once again but not going into that right now.

It's good to see the new Thoughts board getting some use but we want you all to use it, Ant's working hard on it so please support him

I'm still waiting for the mailers to send the Cd's out to the competition winners, bloody postal strikes

Finally started work up again on the graphics for the review panel, give it a whole new look.
Also Luke has come up with a great idea to review other albums, that will most likely end up as a new sub-board in the Other Bands board.

Oh yeah, some good news for all the audio hoarders, I have found a taper who recorded a couple of gigs by The Courteeners, early days but I'm trying to get them, should be top notch audio, so may even end up as the next CD

I've not been on here all week!!

As I started back at work and on a new job for a month or so?? We are doing a new building for Bedford Uni, which means got to get up at 5.15am & leave at 5.45, as it takes nearly 2 hours to get there

Can't even do anything on the journey as it's dark on the way and the way back... for long journeys I used to take a notebook and pen to write down ideas etc...

So I've not had the time or energy to do anything, maybe it's all in the mind??
Once i've settled into the routine I suppose I'll get back into things, got so many ideas, plans & thoughts for S&C just waiting for me....

Currently on my hot list:

* The new badge release (done the badge, just packaging design to do)
* A new S&C flyer for mcr central (I want this like the (stalled) fanzine, like a preview to it)
* Try and get a (personal) t-shirt design made for mcr central (very early days but must act now)
* Kick-start "The Story So Far" CD (hopefully before the 2nd LP)
* The Review Panel Deviating (got to talk to Luke about it)
* The Acquisitions thing (the coding is nearly complete)
* Revamp the Discography
* Gigography (bit stuck but trying to solve using dreamweaver)

Let me know if I've promised to do anything for you because I may have forgot or not wrote it down and no I haven't promised anyone any cash

i was thinking that but there isnt enough interesting albums to do once a week, maybe fortnightly.

there's always at least 1 good album out. i look through nme, q, and a couple of others every week and there's always 1 i end up liking. but yeah fortnightly would be good too.

Do you want it set-up like the proper Review Panel; a new board with individual sub-boards for albums, singles etc OR it can be just a sub-board within 'other bands' that will just have threads???

I would personally set it up the same as the other, as it gives a lot more freedom to sort into sections etc...

What sections would you want? I'd imagine one for albums & one for singles? Gigs maybe?

Maybe not just music? Books? Films? It is the Review Panel Deviating after all

So maybe you could have the sub-boards as different subject matter e.g. Music, Film, Books etc and then just have indivdual threads for each review??
