The same day the Courteeners played at Manchester HMV to coincide with the release of What Took You So Long, Liam played an acoustic set supported by Pierre Hall at Space, and it was a class performance. Pierre Hall was excellent , as was Fray. Hopefully this should be equally as good.

Great show last night. Pierre Hall and Ben Thorley were both very good. Liam was quality as ever. Good interaction with the crowd and a great performance. Quite a decent crowd too... apart from the young lad in front of me who was so drunk he could hardly stand so kept leaning back onto me!

Fray was quality as ever last night. Played a bit different set to what he usually plays.
Have to say though, Pierre Hall is terrible, his singing is so bad.
The lads were in 42's afterwards, had a pissed up chat with Campbell. Top lad, very humble and down to earth.

I thought that the set was good. I agree with you in part about Pierre Hall, but i think the majority of his set was fine (other than the last song, in which he was out of tune). The best track of the night for me was Smiths Disco. I also went to 42's and saw Conan and Campbell, it is good that they can still lead normal lifes and not have the hassle of not being able to go to club's they have probably been frequenting for years. Must have been surreal for them hearing Acrylic playing.
