Xfm are proud to announce that The Charlatans, The Courteeners, The Tings Tings and some as yet secret special guests have all been confirmed to play at Xfm and Metro Newspaper's Winter Wonderland charity concert taking place at The Apollo this December. As announced exclusively on the Xfm Breakfast Show with Jason Manford this morning (November 2) Xfm is hosting its annual Christmas charity concert at The Apollo, Manchester on Tuesday December 11 Xfm�s annual Winter Wonderland gig has become a highlight in the musical calendar, with bands such as The Manic Street Preachers, The Kooks, Kasabian, Razorlight, The Zutons, Maximo Park all having played exclusively for the station over the years. And this year is no exception, with the Manchester leg of the four day event including sets from The Charlatans, Speical Guests (still TBA), The Courteeners, The Ting Tings, the winners of Rock School 2007 and a whole host of surprise special guests, as yet to be announced. The whole event will be hosted by Xfm DJs and will be broadcast live on the station with exclusive backstage interviews. Winter Wonderland also includes concerts around the Xfm network of stations in London, Glasgow and Cardiff, which will play host to performances from Stereophonics, Bloc Party, Supergrass, Kate Nash, The Twang, Super Furry Animals and The Enemy and loads more. smart, id like the gig cheers. what you make of arctic monkeys on tuesday? i heard it wasnt too good due to alex turner being pissed off at the crowd for bottling the horrors, i went on the wednesday and it was mint but alex turner was proper wasted and only really woke up midway during the set, not as good as at old trafford but still mint, the venue was probably too big and filled with morons

Yeh i went on the wednsday ,there was still dickeds there like not the ones booin the horrors but the ones that didnt wanna be pushed or ave a good time ,the skineds out to cause trouble ,no arctics gig will compare the LCCC
