is it just me or do you think it's strange how they've edited it to make liams voice echo and also seemed to have slow down the chorus and make the guitar solos less prominent?, compared to the way it was played over the summer, i have the recording of it from Reading on the BBC and it seems much better.

I still think it's a top song but compared to the live versions I'm disappointed. His voice is very weird on it, particularly "where did ya..".

Yeah the first thing I noticed was the production. Not a fan of it at all.
With regards to the song, it's ok. Not sure it's a better lead single than You Overdid It, Doll and in three years it should be.

With regards to the double-tracked vocals; it is only the same as on 'Good Times....' but used throughout the song so it is nothing new to Courteeners music. I can see it having a bigger part to play in Anna though.
The song is a step in another direction - as was it's Falcon counterpart - and I am not going to doubt that this is a step in the right direction as any lingering doubts that I had over Falcon were soon proved wrong.
Going off the sound of Push Yourself and Money from the Manchester gig, this is going to be seriously rock n roll this LP. Both of these songs had great rhythm riffs in the verses and have a real 'stomp' and 'groove' to them.
I think that though it is not the strongest of the new songs (at least in my opinion), it is more a case of showing not only the quality of the music that is being made but the direction in which it is heading.

Ive been listening to it loads and i think its great. Its definitely better with volume up bass up and you get that proper Rock feeling in bits. Its changed loads since we first heard it at appollo though and for the better in my opinion. Push Yourself is gonna be massive once the album is out!!

Obviously this can all change when we get to hear the album but I'm not a big fan of how Push Yourself is sounding, Money and Welcome to the Rave sound like the better tunes to me.
I'm a fan of "rock n roll" like what the AM have done with bits of their 4th album so if The Courteeners go that route with Anna I'll be happy.

Hate to say it, love the band, think the lyrics as always are good, great guitars
but it is way over produced with all the echoes and other effects, a little bit ironic that it seems they lost control with it
maybe harsh given the work they put into it but really hope the rest of ANNA isn't like this

I do like Welcome To The Rave. I'll wait and see what Anna's like.

great to see the airplay its getting at the moment, personally i like the track, to a few listens to get into it, but as someone said, on a decent system is sounds quality. Can;t wait to hear money on the album, the intro from the 'boro and arena gig reminded me of elephant by tame impala,
