Greetings, In the run up to the release of the third album and all ensuing touring, a few fans have decided to set up a facebook page called 'Courteeners We Stand' (named after a really good t-shirt from the 2008 Apollo gigs). www.facebook.com/CourteenersWeStandPLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE 'like' this, 'share' this, and get your friends involved. The bigger the audience for it, the bigger a fan community it is and the better and more informative it will be for anyone. We're not working against this forum, just trying to mobilise the fans and get them integrating, communicating and sharing the love between each other in the way that this site has done in the past. A place for all things Courteeners made by the fans, with the fans, for the fans. Ask your questions, give your answers, feel free to get involved. A place for information, news, announcements, photos, archive stories, gig reviews, people, things, Morrisseys with or without some strings, anything! During tours we'll be vigorously posting on here to keep you all posted on how it's going as we roll from town to town. No dodgy gossip, slander or abuse. All positive and all working towards doing the best for the band. GOD BLESS THE BAND, COURTEENERS WE STAND

We've always quite liked this forum, but it's very very quiet (quieter than it ever was between other albums) yet the fan base is very very large. Facebook seems the easiest way to mobilise people, it would be great if S and C steps up to the mark as well but why wait! And am I right in thinking that Snorting and Cavorting has lost it's www.snortingandcavorting.com/ page and is now only accessable through the Proboards page?? Would be great for you to join and to have you on board, it isn't about creating a division between the two, nor a merging, just two different things both with the same aim. COURTEENERS WE STAND

Yeah it's been quiet admittedly. To be fair we're looking at 2 and a half years in between albums this time round, and when a band is dormant for so long it's always going to be difficult to have day to day activity on their message board, unless they're the size of someone like Arctic Monkeys.
Obviously it's easier for people to log on to Facebook so I see the reason for the group, I reckon the two can co-exist. We can offer things the Facebook page can't, and they can offer things we can't.
