By now many music fans will be familiar with this summer's breakout song by Foster The People, 'Pumped Up Kicks'. The song seems to have shot the band's gigs to sell out status, whilst appearing in the top 20 in a crowded chart full of awful pop music. It was always going to be hard to follow up such a good song with a second single, but Helena Beat proves to be a more than worthy succesor. It starts with synths leaning against as gentle guitar before breaking into a refreshing set of vocals. With gentle claps and recurring synths throughout, the chorus is short and sweet before breaking back into a similar synth pattern. Simplistic lyrics are present but you don't expect any more from a song and band that doesn't seem to take itself too seriously. Later on in the song it slows down before launching into a catchy section full of 'wooo', before ending suddenly. It's never going to be as popular as its predecessor but it's a song worth your time.
