Liam is on the cover of today's (24/06) City Life in the MEN. If you're out and about or on a train, it's well worth a read.
Roll on Haigh Hall and Delamere, both promise to be fantastic days out.
Be sure to go and see Morrissey on this tour. The setlist is brilliant and he's sounding as good as ever. Also, tune in to BBC4 at 9pm tonight for Mozza at Glastonbury, you'll be in for a treat.
Viva Courteeners.

I dont think he meant this tour as such, im sure there are ways round it though.
It's an interesting question, what is the next step in Manchester from the MEN. Weird time for the band, they are on the verge of being successful so maybe a really good album that sells well and this time next year we could have a mini arena tour and them headlining a festival.

Depends how its recieved, they'd be a dangerous headliner because of how maligned they can be (unfairly, of course). I'd love to see them headline a smaller stage though. The arena tour will happen if the album is big for sure.

Just got me thinking because they were pretty close to top of the bill at Isle Of Wight, I'd be disappointed if they haven't headlined a smaller stage after the 3rd record. Somewhere like V or T In The Park.

one of them sounds like it could be on an Adele album.”
Not a huge fan of her, sounds interesting though.

It'll be interesting to see where they play on the next tour, I'm expecting larger venues but not arenas, well just a couple Although... each year has got better and The Courteeners history is looking very impressive. With the band ever improving and a bit of luck, the lads will pull off a magical 3rd album and appeal to the masses! Then a LCCG gig won't be too far away. I've had enough of 2011 already, bring on 2012

lancs cricket club would be an ace to place to play. as would the reebok stadium - bit selfish that one though with being from bolton!

Yes totally agree, LCCC may be a couple of years off but I'm a firm believer that if they do another stand alone gig like the GMEX and MEN on the next tour then it should be at the Reebok.
Its not too far outside of Manchester and its the only new stadium which is the right size for them at the minute, could get about 25,000 in there maybe slightly more which should be about right after their 3rd record.
Also I'm sure Liam said it was his and Conan's first gig there watching Oasis in 2000 so a little bit of history about it too....it's ideal.
