I just searched 'The Courteeners' then on google, and scrolled over to news, anyway the headline was 'Win tickets to The Courteeners

So it seems recent enough, but they could of just updated it, this gig hasn't already been has it?
Anyway, on the page nothing appears, but the page is blank, so i think it was a mistake by the xfm people, if the gig happens, it's pencilled in for the sunday after the forest as thats when Haigh Hall Live is and they can't possible play the saturday.

Anyway, thought i'd post this here, if i'm breaching any copyright, please delete this thread, thanks

Just had a look on the venues website but nothing than Peter Bloody Andre!
It would have posted by now if the gig had already happened but this definitely needs a bit more investigation.

Yeah, well i went on their facebook page and posted what i posted above and they deleted my comment, banned me from liking it and removed any option of adding comments.

We'll find out on tuesday, it's gonna be a joint show innit.

Ahhhhh so i was right.

The guesstimate on when the gig is, was a bit off but nevertheless we have another gig, Thursday and Saturday canny wait, who wants to gimme a lift home to liverpool on the saturday then?

Tickets are now on sale for the band's headline show at Haigh Hall in Wigan on June 30th 2011 . The Courteeners are pleased to announce that they will headline a huge show in their native North-West this summer at Haigh Hall Live.

The gig takes place on Thursday 30th June at the 7,000 capacity outdoor event and will be the first of four nights against the spectacular backdrop of Wigan's Haigh Hall Country Park.

Support on the night will come from Wirralites The Coral plus up-and-coming Salford singer Ren Harvieu. Further acts will be announced in the coming weeks.

Tickets for the show go on sale at 9am on Friday 1st April via www.haighlive.com and www.seetickets.com or on the following hotline numbers - 0844 880 6614 / 0844 873 7334.

As previously announced, The Courteeners will be making further festival appearances at this year's Isle Of Wight Festival (Main Stage) and V Festival (4music Stage) - both events are now sold out.

They will also play Delamere Forest in July as part of Forestry Commission Live Music 2011, a show that sold out in a record 38 minutes.

Anyway, tickets are still on sale at both of the sites but I can't see them lasting too much longer if there's just 7,000 tickets.
