NME ARE WANKERS, 7 out of 10 is good but the review says F**k all about the album, 3 quarters of the review are about the band and how they are mouthy dickheads from manc along with the hype surrounding the band, likens em to a british kings of leon particularly kings of the new road,
tracks to download aftershow, no you didnt no you don't and not 19 forever
Ive haven't bought NME for a long time as it's nothing about the music but gna have to this week just for the back cover advert for st.jude which is great!

The guy who reviewed the album is called Rick Martin. He is an absolute w**ker. He claims he is a mancunian, but he admits he calimed he was from Sheffield to sound cool when the arctic donkeys started making it. What kinda fucking mancunian does that? the fucking c**t. I hate him for that reason alone.
He was the first person to write about The Courteenrs in NME, but he's a complete knob. I'm guessing from his opening tones, he's had a bad run-in at some point.
Interestingly, they've include a picture of him... so you know who to throw your bottles towards at gigs.

After the way NME treated Milburn I'll never buy that piece of shite ever again.

do they have it in for the courteeners or what!?
when it had a review for not 19 forever, it said nothing about the track but it shat all over the band... now they 'review' the album, but salg the band!
"They fucking do my head in"

its mad isnt it. NME never review albums or singles, they discuss bands, its stupid. they spend the whole time discussing the band and hype and throw in a lot of stereotypes of the band, and then throws in the odd cross word about the album. then gives it a number. which is scarcely high.
i rarely buy it now after the morrissey incident

I was dissapointed to be fair - over half of the review goes on about how they are "saving" manc music and liam is the new "mouth" an all that
they go on and say no you didn't, no you don't is the best song from the album
they praised the album a fair bit in the actual review of it and then gave it a 7?
a 8 or 9 sounded a bit more likely, the way they reviewed it in the text piece
and also next weeks issue there is a big feature on liam fray - it says
NEXT WEEK - "Why Liam fray conviced he's the next great manc messiah"
