Got a message on facebook from a member(??) saying we should get a camping venue for a aftershow party... so this is the thread for just that. I know I'll struggle to get back home after the gig and I'm sure there will plenty of others in the same boat, so why not have a party to finish off a top day No camping is allowed on site but there is Delamere Forest Camping and Caravanning Club Site just near the train station, it allows non club members too but I'm not sure if they would welcome a party??

I don't know if this is where I did my Duke of Edinburgh, but where we stayed in the forest it was a big open space so it probably depends how many other people are there.

That's all we need and would be nice if they had a good sized marquee for hire or something, maybe with the possibility of a DJ?? darren going to a courteeners gig, got to be worth a party in itself! ;D Cheers for making me laugh mate

The Delamere Forest Camping and Caravanning Club Site has 80 pitches available and the fees will be charged at mid-seasons. On their website it states these fees for mid-season: Adult £8.50 Child £2.70 Members' age concession rate £5.90 Members' family deal £22.30 Non-member fee per pitch per night £7.00 Member back packer £6.10 Non-member back packer £7.70 Club Service Pitch (per pitch, per night) £3.50 So I don't know if you have to pay the adult/child fee plus pitch fee??

Any one got any ideas for this?? I was thinking about if we could book all the pitches at that camp site then maybe they would let us have the aftershow there, giving us a chance of having music and that, find a DJ or maybe bands??? 80 pitches has got to be a least 2 people per pitch ( will have to find out), so at least 160 people for the aftershow. The only problem would be convincing the camp site I think. So if any knows what is involved in all this, then please let us know, post in here

Is anyone camping at Delamere after the gig?
Am only going from Manchester but would like to drive down maybe Friday night and make a full day of it. Not sure about the layout though, anyone know which is the nearest campsite for the gig venue? Cheers

Sorry to say I haven't had time to find out anything for an unofficial aftershow, maybe there's folk on here who have the know how, involved in gig promoting and have the time to organise it properly??
It would be nice to have some kind of after show close to the forest and that let's us play loud music!!
Please come forward if your willing to do this or know someone who will be prepared to help out, thanks.

AFAIK the campsite is booked up solid especially with the other two gigs on either side of the courteeners....
