MONAIt's reached the time of year now where the music loving public start looking back on the year passed, and look forward to a year ahead of new releases and breaking bands. The much discussed BBC Sound of.. Poll is shortly to be announced, and having already been announced on MTV's future stars shortlist, MONA are sure to be featured highly on the upcoming BBC list. Having already sold out their debut single and featured on Later With Jools Holland, a combination of word of mouth buzz and genuine admiration with the type of music MONA create, it's hard to see how this band will not be venturing into the upper echelons of the charts in 2011. The aforementioned single was the song 'Listen To Your Love', awash with stadium sized riff's and impassioned Kings Of Leon style vocals. Upcoming single, 'Trouble On The Way' (Released Monday 13th December) follows on with similar vocal style and a strong urgency throughout the song. With a short December UK Tour taking place now, and support dates with The Walkmen announced for January, MONA are a band worth checking out. Having signed to Island, their debut will be out on May 19th so look out for it as you're sure to have heard of them nearer the time. www.myspace.com/monathebandwww.monatheband.com
