if enough people post, we can do an official top 10 (or more) for the forum. Lets see how it goes. You've got until Decemeber 15th. Feel free to post less than 10, but anything more wont be counted. I'll be using a system from another forum to make the final list.
1. Laura Marling - I Speak Because I Can 2. Gorillaz - Plastic Beach 3. Vampire Weekend - Contra 4. Plan B - Defamation of Strickland Banks 5. Rolo Tomassi - Cosmology 6. Courteeners - Falcon 7. Hurts- Happiness 8. My Chemical Romance - Danger Days 9. Magnetic Man- Magnetic Man 10. Arcade Fire - Suburbs

i'm going to my top 5 based on most listens, 1. The Courteeners - Falcon 2. Frightened Rabbit - The Winter Of Mixed Drinks 3. The Gaslight Anthem - American Slang 4. The Drums - The Drums 5. Vampire Weekend - Contra 6. My Chemical Romance - Danger Days 7. Arcade Fire - The Suburbs 8. Two Door Cinema Club - Tourist History 9. Marina & the Diamonds - Family Jewels
That's it really, been quite a disappointing year for music in the fact that there haven't really been any classic's made.

I couldnt give a valued opinion because there is only a selection of modern bands that I think are any good so I've not heard half the albums already mentioned. I definitely couldn't compare them.
All the bands I'm interested in are gonna have records out in 2011 I think, could be 7 or 8 massive albums that I'm looking forward to.

The Courteeners - Falcon Vampire Weekend - Contra Klaxons - Surfing The Void.
Its been a bad year for me except Falcon. I'm more of an old school man so I listen to a lot of The Beatles, The Kinks, Rolling Stones etc.

right I don't want to sound like a tw*t but my musical tastes have broadened shiftly this year and I haven't bought many "indie" albums but got into a lot of the mainstream which tbf isn't that bad
anyways...this is what I congured up:
1) The Courteeners - Falcon 2) Deluka - You are the Night 3) Two Door Cinema Club - Tourist History 4) Tinie Tempah - Disc-Overy 5) Katy Perry - Teenage Dream 6) Diana Vickers - Songs from the Tainted Cherry Tree 7) Manic Street Preachers - Postcards from a Young Man 8) Brandon Flowers - Flamingo 9) Eminem - Recovery (think came out in 09 but oh well) 10) Ellie Goulding - Lights
like I said...my musical tastes have changed significantly since last year...broadening them shall we say...anyways make what you will
