Did anyone go to Salford or Manchester Uni? I'm applying for next year and I was wondering if anyone here went there...

Im not a huge fan of Salford, but Manchester is great if you want to be in a large city. Ive got friends there who love it.

I'll be applying to both... My first choice was Manchester and I went there and really liked it, but since I really want to study in (the city of) Manchester (the other option, London is far too expensive) I'll be applying for two courses in Salford as well, so we'll see...

sorry forgot about this! I go Manchester and it's ace, proper good location too, dead close to town etc. agree with spiralxstatic about Salford. I know quite a few people who go to the uni and it's supposed to be alright but the area in general isn't the best. Unfortunately I work in Salford.

Oh, I didn't know it was that bad... I'm gonna go there in march now and take a look. But yeah, my first choice is Manchester, the Drama course! what are you doing?

My temperature is at 39ÂșC, I've got massive white dots on my throat, I can't even speak and I have two very important gigs on friday and saturday! I only hope I'll kill all these evil microbes before friday, otherwise I'll have my brother singing? oh dear...

Hope your throat got better Rita? Been doing some serious thinking about the future and what I want to do with my life, definitely want to take up private guitar lessons, tried to teach myself on many occasions but failed! Already contacted a local tutor who can start in January, hoping I can afford the 25 quid an hour fee Also, thinking about my career aspirations, feel like I'm stuck in a rut and need to make a change. I don't enjoy this electrician lark, not what I want to do it's just to get me by & don't want to look back in another 10 years and think I haven't done a job that I enjoyed. Always the possibility of going back into education and pursuing some kind of graphic design course, been looking into it a little bit but that's all but I suppose nothing is really stopping me now.

It's weird for me lately with exams and stuff. I've got two AS exams coming up and I'm slowly realizing this could make or break any Uni chances for me, it's massive and I'm not really comprehending it at the moment. Not sure whether I even want to go to Uni, what I want to be, what I want to do etc. Just want to go 10 years in the future and skip all this stuff.

just remember sean, you probably want the option of going to uni, whether you do or not, and decent A-Levels still put you a big step ahead of the people who stopped at high school.
Darren; while realising Im alot younger so its different, I was gutted about a split a few years ago, and picking up guitar was a massive help. Make sure you keep at it.
