As you may have seen, we only have 1 affiliate... link, subsidiary or whatever you want to call it but if S&C can team up with more websites, blogs, forums or what-have-you, we could make this place grow.
It's up to you to find a place that we would be proud of linking with, obviously it's got to be related, not just Courteeners but stuff the band and our members would like.
Of course I'd like the top sites but that would be harder to achieve, so do the best you can, maybe you're already involved with a site that fits the bill? Get us linked.
I’m not too sure about commercial sites though?? Might be too much like advertising and they wouldn't really offer us anything... or maybe they would? Free stuff to give away in compos? Who knows... maybe just a few would be ok??
A link for someone like recordstore wouldn't be too bad, as they have regular exclusives with The Courteeners & they help out new/upcoming bands.
The main purpose is to bring in more members though and getting more activity & posts from a range of fans, so you may target existing communities??
Remember to be polite, you will be indirectly representing S&C, if they don't want to be involved then that's fine.
Explain about the competition if you want, they may appreciate this??
Find as many affiliates as you want, obviously the more you get the better and if they are top sites, related or deemed that they will bring us more traffic, this will help your entry.
Post your Affiliate
- Once you find S&C an affiliate, start a new thread in the "Affiliate" sub-board.
- The name of the affiliate should be entered as the "Subject"
- "Message" should just include the URL of the affiliation
- Once you have posted, I will contact you for details of the person you arranged the affiliation
Rules/Guidelines
- 1 DVD up for grabs
- Each Affiliate you gain should be posted separately
- Closing date for all competitions/contests is Tuesday 30th November 2010 - Any entries posted after this date will not be accepted
- An extra "winning entry" will be added to the Raffle if this becomes void
