What do you have to do?
S&C is in need of a guide that explains the sign-up process, rules/regulations, FAQ's, explain the areas of the forum and some common how to guides.
Some people have never been on a forum before and need some help to get started or they may just not come back.
Giving as much information but explained quite simple could help people stick around.
You could start off with how to sign-up, some people have never got past confirming their membership email, and this is pretty straightforward and easy to explain.
Rules and regulations? I don't think you have to go too far with this, just basic stuff; abuse/bullying, offensive language, spam, don't go to far off topic etc
FAQ's should be the most common things members ask, e.g. how to I add an avatar in my profile? (this could be then linked to a "how to") How do I send a PM? How do I report a post? Is S&C the bands official forum? Can you send me mp3's? How can I contact the band?
There’s load of different things you could add, maybe have this split into sections, with similar questions and that.
Explain how the forum is structured; each category (e.g. Proposing) has a number of different boards (e.g. New Members) and there could be further sub-boards in those, these all lead to threads!
I'm sure you'll be able to explain it all better than me!
Write about the boards, maybe the S&C 's Projects board could have a brief about why it was created and what the past projects have been.
Bringing in some "How to" guides could also eliminate any confusion or repeated questions.
A nice one would be how to pimp your profile... better titled though!
Things like adding a title, website, social network, hiding your personal details, avatar and adding a signature... I think there’s more though??
The welcome table (banner at the top) could be confusing too; who knows this is where you access your PM's? Explained well and again this would cut out any confusion.
I think there could be more to add but that's all up to you, the guide could include screenshots that make a better point, that's if you’re really after the DVD.
Have a look at other forums and see how they do all this if you need some help.
Of course, don't just post a few lines of rules etc and expect your entry to be considered, I'm looking for something that I don't need to edit too much.

- Create your guide as a text file (e.g. with Notepad), include links to any images
- Attach your guide in an email to snortingandcavorting@hotmail.co.uk
- Reply in this thread by just posting "Guide Sent"
- I'll edit your post by adding Entry Confirmed once I've seen your guide
