The Great iTunes DVD Giveaway

The first ever forum DVD is nearly upon us and after some delays the time has come to tell you how you could win one of the must have forum releases.

Just 25 copies are being produced but 1 copy is already being given to 20legend for making it, so you have just a month to show you deserve one of the 24 remaining copies.

A series of competitions and contests have been tailor made on areas of the forum that have been neglected, in dire need of more content or just to get you all involved in the community.
I'm sure there is something that will suit you, therefore you will have the perfect opportunity to win what will be a super rare DVD!

This is not just a "post and your entered" thing, please make a comment on a the entry posts, discuss it and get talking, this is a forum after all.


About the competitions/contests.

I'll give a little brief about the competitions and contests, although they are pretty simple to know what is needed of you.
There's the easy ways to get entered; your top 10 songs and a raffle for those of your feeling lucky.
Draw from your own resources and submit high quality scans with information of your gig posters, flyers, tickets, bootlegs and unofficial findings.

Bring your own talent into the mix; you can submit designs of wallpapers, banners, avatars, artwork or something different like getting S&C affiliated with another site to brings us more traffic.

If writing is your forte, then you can submit a review, story and poem, or if your more of an ideas kind of person you could make suggestions of how to improve the forum.

There are the more hands-on entries which could almost guarantee a DVD.
Good at explanations? Then maybe you could create a forum guide. Think your good at coding? Some parts of the forum would be a lot easy to use if they were displayed better, so help S&C improve it's look and navigation with your coding knowledge.

I'm sure something amongst that lot will appeal to you but each competition/contest will be fully explained in it's appropriate board.


Main rules/guidelines.
Each competition/contest may have additional rules

• All entries will be posted within the appropriate board, entries posted n the wrong board will not be accepted, although a polite post will remind anyone posting in the wrong board.
  
  
• Members can enter each and every competition/content if they wish but the amount of entries could vary in each competition/contest.
  
  
• Competitions/contests will have it's own set of rules/guidelines to follow.
  
  
• S&C have the right to deem any of the competitions/contests void of winning a DVD if not enough entries are posted and the quality of those entries is not to a good enough standard.
  Anyone can knock out an avatar from the cover of Falcon or write a page of rhymes, it's quality were after.
  
  
• If any competitions/contests are deemed void, these DVD's will be added to the amount given away in the Raffle and a notice of any extra copies will be given in it's thread.
  
  
• Closing date for all competitions/contest is Tuesday 30th November 2010 - Any entries posted after this date will not be accepted.

The competitions and contests were all fully open today, hope the lack of posts means your all getting your thinking caps on

The mass of different competitions/contests can appear quite daunting but they are pretty much straight forward and most are pretty much normal stuff you'd post anyway.


Also, been thinking about the raffle part of it, you know I don't like to capitalize on the forum releases but if we could get enough 'ticket' sales then the next forum release could be huge!

If just half the members bought a 'ticket', it'll be good enough to get hundreds of 7 inches pressed, that would be fantastic, who knows The Courteeners could have a few spare tracks they could lend us??

all looks proper good and this dvd giveaway is mega, i'm going with the easy ways i dont have time to do much else sorry

i will enter the raffle though, really good idea and fingers crossed that it helps get a vinyl release for next time

Had a PM about coding the Discography, so that looks promising.
The regulars are writing their stuff in the Thoughts board.
Then theres a couple of dribs n drabs.

So, not many entries yet but it's early days I suppose, just want to see this succeed.

Well, I'm not very good with technology lol, so I can't go for those codings and artwork ones (although I will have a look because I think it's wonderful) but I may post more on the Thoughts area, then!
