Everything Everything are a band who have had critical acclaim and a fairly high charting position in a whirlwind year, so you'd expect them to carry on this in the live department. Support band Dutch Uncles have also been achieving some press lately, appearing in the pages of NME alongside Everything Everything themselves, and prove to be a catch, with a animated lead singer and some catchy songs they're definitely one to watch. After a wait, Everything Everything appear onstage to a unexpectedly thin crowd and open with Qwerty Finger, a song from debut album Man Alive. The whole set was very limp, with little energy coming from the band apart from when the occasional song required it and left the viewer feel slightly let down perhaps, in my case anyway. With a one song encore, there couldn't have been more than 10 songs played, and if they're going to sl*g off bands such as The Courteeners, they need to be able to back themselves up, which on that night, they didn't.
