Liam Fray is promising some big nights out as band gear up to send off 'Falcon'........"The whole tour is going to be good. It's nice to bring 'Falcon' to a close," he said. "We've been all around the world and we've done the festival. After this people won't see us for a while, we're going to go and do the next record, which will be different again. So they're going to be some shows to remember." www.nme.com/news/the-courteeners/52846

Saw that the other day, not looking forward to not seeing them for a while but I'm sure it'll be worth it. Need to be more patient inbetween records!

I wonder if they will do the one-off single again, like somebody had asked on another topic.
Seems as though he has a few writtern already and I feel slightly robbed, because we've had only 2 singles and the second one only had 1 studio b-side.
Another 3 or 4 unheard tracks in a few months will help see me through, I've had nothing since April.

It seems like St. Jude was around for ages and now Falcon is being passed by too soon. Less singles, only one UK tour and now we just get 5 dates to see it off. They know what their doing though and don't they have have a shed load of new songs? but I do hope they release a Christmas treat (G-Mex DVD would be nice)

True, with them ready to move on to the next album, can only mean things are going really well on the song writing front. Would be fantastic if they can get another album out next year, don't give us too long of a rest

The madness sort of ended at V, with about 10 gigs from then until the new year.
So knowing the band on recent form once Christmas & Falcon are finished with then work can commence on album 3.
If there is enough good material written then theres no reason why they cant have a few months in the studio say from Feb-April and get a summer release out?
Or am i being too optimistic, still hoping they stick something out around Christmas. Either that or preview a couple of new tunes at the MEN.

i think they should do a DVD especially at the MEN. but it shows how big theyve become if theyre doing these sort of venues but im hoping they realise a inbetween single show us how his writing is changing and just ot get us over the dissapoinment of onl being 2 Falcon singles even though theres about 4 or 5 songs on there that would make great singles

I would of liked 1 more single daz tbh as well
would of loved sychophant or good times to be lifted but there we go
and yeah falcon is a tremendous record, so different from st jude which is why I love it so much - hopefully the 3rd offering won't to dissimilar but if it and its brilliant then i'll be avin that
