After work last night I had to go out to see a mate celebrating his birthday in Soho, London. I have recently moved into a new flat in East London and got f*ck all in the flat so been going to the pub most nights after work so was a bit hanging. A few drinks in Liam Fray walks in. From my position I couldnt really tell if it was definetly him or not, plus I thought it would be a random place for him to be, but I kept on looking over. He kept on seeing me look over so was getting a bit weird.
Anywho, long story short, i went over to him. He was talking to his mrs and as soon as i heard his voice I new it was him so ended up having a good 10 minute chat with him. He actually remembered me from the ben sherman acoustic gig he did as i was the guy who requested revolver and he told me after that gig he hadnt played it for ages so i put him on the spot.
He was saying that he is in a rich vein of form writing wise at the moment which is good. He was saying he was disapointed that songs like car31 and Saw this and FORT of you didnt make the album.
Then we had a bit of banter with his mrs about the england america game tomorrow.
He is looking to move to West London around Chelsea in the next few weeks with his mrs.
Anyway, top lad as always, mrs is cute. General legend! Liam Fray, I salute you.

yeah, no way they'll leave manchester all year without doing a gig. think something special is lined up seeing they omitted it from the tour.

where would they play in manchester next? they've basically done most the venues apart from the men which would be too big. maybe they'll go back to the apollo. manchester would definitely be good but as long as we get another tour some time in the near future, maybe around october time, i'm not arsed where they play.

Unless they play old trafford/MEN and just only open so many seated?

well i'm not sure really. but there just HAS to be a manchester gig. can't see why when they have so much support there, they wouldn't tour it when they have an album out. i guess i'm only saying this because this is the only gig i could go to on any upcoming tour as i can't see them doing liverpool again.

Yeah id prefer liverpool as i live there but in all honestly getting the train to manchester really wouldn't bother me, would be cool if they did an outdoor gig, but then again im not sure if they have the fanbase for this kinda thing

i think they might manage a one off gig and bring 15k people. suppose the MEN would be suitable kind of.

i reckon they should book a weeks worth of gigs in manchester, at small venues, under a different name each time. and tell fans at festivals and what not where to be and at what time. let the word spread and see how effective word of mouth is. think it could be interesting and a change from the norm.
anyone remember that one they did at the ruby lounge ages ago, as "speacial guests"
top night
