I disagree with all said here really. I've done 3 dates on this tour so far and they've been among the best times I've seen Courteeners, and that's spanning over two and a half years now. The new tunes have been getting superb receptions and I for one have not just been stood there limply waiting for the next St Jude track. This tour's been class so far, very easily could have not been with Fray being ill as well from that XFM interview, don't get this criticism whatsoever.

Agreed Fergal. I've only been to Blackpool but I thought they were absolutely amazing! The atmosphere was mega throughout all the songs! They were just top! xD

I agree that true, I went to Liverpool and Blackpool and Blackpool wasn't a shade on Liverpool but hearing of the likes of CB and others who have seen them numerous times, they were electric that night. Maybe I compared Blackpool to it, but I still thought Blackpool was brilliant. I've seen them four times now and I'd say they are the best gigs I've been to and I've seen about 40 artists in the last year. I've been standing there waiting to see what is next coming on and if it's a new track I love them just as much as the old ones as Fergal said, even Lullaby I've started loving. Although I agree that I have looked to the next album, as any fan would.

Just home from my weekend in London.
As far as the Brixton gig goes i had a great night. Was a bit dissapointed that fallowfield, lullaby and yesterday today.. were left off the set list. There was one more but cant remember what it was. Anyway, had a ball, close to the front people were singin away. Although, some people just behind me looked at me like i had five heads when i belted out the words to take over the world.
Still loved the gig myself though, Liam and the boys seemed well up for it. As if they had something to prove in London? Hmm.
Cant wait for Belfast gig next wed now, see you down the front.

Agree with you ben, didn't go to brixton but I had similar feeling with the other gigs I went to Here's not the place to be slating them anyway I couldn't agree with you more though and my reasons shouldn't be posted here Why Mike, here is a perfect palce to air your opinions. Not everything should be sugar coated just because we love the band. Everyone criticises their favourite football teams. Bands can have the same if you dont feel like they are performing too their best. Its great everyone else here had a good time. I just expected more. That doesnt mean I didnt enjoy it, I just know what they are capable of and wanted something extra.

ive only done blackburn so far, but it was easily the worst time ive seen them. including a support slot for the coral and a club gig where I only knew Acrylic and Aftershow. I dont feel like this is to do with the tunes though. Just got unlucky choosing which one to go to. If the change of direction gets rid of the idiots then I'm all for it.
and yeah let ben say what he likes, its better than just giving up on them like a lot of people would.

posting on an internet forum is completely different, people can misread what you post and I reckon if I went on about why I thought the gigs wern't up to the usual standard I would just sound like a prick, so I'm not going to
everything already posted sums up generally why anyway

I disagree, doesnt always have to be gushing praise; I dont like WTYSL and I've not exactly hidden that. (though the first verse is great)

I'm not saying it has to be all praise
Just that I don't need to say anymore
I've just criticised the live performances if you read my posts,

id be interested to read your opinion mike, im sure you will post a detailed opinion & people will respect that and not think your a prick. theres nothing worse than people who put "i think there shit". that would get peoples backs up, but you wouldnt do that. and in all fairness, unless other people were at the same gig as you, then they are in no position to criticise your thoughts.

Absolutely. Everyone has different views of everything. I still love the Courteeners. I am not giving up on them. I love the first album and in a way, I understand what Liam and the boys are trying to do by developing their sound. I just dont think they have been succesful.....................yet.
