st jude is something the pigeon detectives could've produced to be perfectly honest. Pigeon Detectives wouldn't even exist if they wasn't generic St Jude was great, there's just such a contrast when you compare it with their demos (which i still listen to more than the album)

Yeh you can't compare St. Jude to fucking Pigeon Detectives, they're an embarrassing band. St Jude showed alot of potential, some of it was average, not as good as the rest, but so much potential, from which they have delivered Falcon.

Falcon is boring already and its only been 2 weeks.. do this poll in a few months or a years time and I'm betting it wouldnt be anywhere near close.
St Jude all the way.

I love St. Jude and thought that Falcon was a sort of let down Falcon has its own qualities but doesnt stand out like St Jude did

st.jude makes me feel better everytime i listen to it. it reminds me about good and warm times. falcon is the new thing and it's hard to say something about it. but it can be a big thing. i think, i have to listen to the falcon for more time and then i'll be able to judge
st.jude for me at the moment

I think Falcon's a massive world better. Falcon is an album that I will come back to time and time again I think, still getting a lot of listen out of it, a lot on there to listen to and as a body of work it's top class. Though a top album and really did the job for them, St Jude didn't hit me in all the right spots, particularly not as much as the demo's and earlier versions did. Falcon all the way for me

Fergal is still putting it exactly how I want to. I liked St. jude, alot, but didn't live up to hype, just showed immense potential. Whereas Falcon I am already regarding as one of my favourite albums of the last 10 years, so so much to listen to for everyone, they have delivered the potential this time. Every song means something to me.

I think St Jude is a little bit more consistent lyrically. But the production and scale of Falcon sets it apart. Although the pigeon detectives definitely couldnt have made St Jude; I can see where that comment came from. Falcon is altogether more diverse and proves that theyre not just a big fish in a small indie rock pond.
