Does anyone like them? Got into them properley this month or so after i watched the Factory Records programme on tv, so good. If anyone hasn't listened to them i urge you too, so good. Get the live tracks off the site dedicated to them in "other bands" so good, can't stop listening to them live in Paris.

I think with Joy Division you have to give them a listen when you can't turn it off, thats what I did as at first I thought they weren't any good. Now I think they are class!

their second album Closer is easy listening compared to Unknown Pleasures, you've just gotta get yourself in a proper mood and turn it up loud haha

Used to be Joy Division mad, took a while like you say but really got into them, Curtis is one of the greatest lyricists I've ever known. Not heard them for a while though, might get back into them soon. Think it's this way with alot of old bands though, takes a while to get into them, The Smiths are the perfect example, but now they're unquestionably one of my favourite bands.

Yeah, a friend of mine last year, said to me listen to the smiths you will listen, thought they were shocking and thought how could they be so big and popular etc. Then it just hits you, love em.

i bought unknown pleasures awhile ago when nme did a special issue, sounds alright havent really got into them properly yet. if you, or anyone! wants to get into them properly watch Control. worked for me anyway. I liked the obvious ones before that like Love Will Tear Us Apart Again and She's Lost Control, but that film just made me wanna listen to more and more. Such a masterpiece that film.

I love Joy Division! Favourite songs by them are Atmosphere, Shadowplay and She's Lost Control. Well, for now anyway (constantly changes!). And Control is brilliant, I was already well into Joy Division when I saw it but still loved it. Really worth watching!
