You Overdid It Doll Review
1 Review by the Panel By Luke Beardsworth | This is the first real single from Falcon and it was a tune that stood out as having real potential. This, however, was far from what I expected, having paid little attention to the lyrics in Manchester.
That being said, after "Cross My Heart..." got an uncertain review from me, yet as predicted, was an absolute highlight live, this is something which dispells any doubt about Falcon that I may have had. It sounds like the sort of tune the Rev wishes he was making and I mean that in a very good way. Lyrically; it is spot on, with some cutting lyrics and yet it still peels away into a sing along at the "you overdid it doll" repeats. It doesnt do any harm that I whole-heartedly agree with the lyrics.
This is the final proof that the Courteeners can successfully develop into something more than perhaps people had suspected. When other bands decide to mix things up they often sink, because that band was destined for the bland. The Courteeners will undoubtedly rise gracefully like the Falcon.
