Courteeners are offering fans a free download song from their forthcoming album next month.
The Manchester band will be giving away new song 'Cross My Heart And Hope To Fly' through their official website, Thecourteeners.com, on December 7.
The track will feature on Liam Fray and co's second album, which was produced by Ed Buller (Pulp, Suede) and is due out in February 2010. A seven-inch version of the single will also be made available along with a new B-side.

Very excited about this, should really get the ball rolling with excitement for the new album. I've a feeling it's going to be something quite different to what we're used to as well. The title makes me think of Elbow as well, unsure why but that isn't a bad thing

naa they won't be on the cover
will be interesting to hear if a tracklisting/name for the album is confirmed (more likely hinted at)
can't wait to hear the download, agree with the elbow thoughts, especially as Liam seems to be quite influenced by them
anyone got a leaked version yet hahaha
