1. Whatever... - Arctic Monkeys 2. Humbug - Arctic Monkeys 3. Is This It - The Strokes 4. St Jude - The Courteeners 5. My Way- Ian Brown i've included st jude based on the fact that i've listened to it so much, and it has undoubtely played a part in my decade as far as albums are concerned. on quality though, it's nowhere near those top 3. and yeah, i think ian brown's new one is class 1. This House Is A Circus - Arctic Monkeys that's the most played song on my itunes so im going with that. otherwise, i couldn't even start to list my top 5 individual songs.

Albums: The Libertines - Up The Braket (could have been either, personal preference) Arctic Monkeys - (again could of been any of the three, it's another personal preference but it was such an important album) The Strokes - Is This It? (just every song is brilliant and it spawned so many great bands) The Coral - The Coral Elbow - Leaders of the Free World
Songs: The Libertines - Don't Look Back Into The Sun Arctic Monkeys - From The Ritz to the Rubble Elbow - One Day Like This Kasabian - Club Foot Outkast - Hey Ya! (for a bit of variety and maybe debate?)
I just thought I'd pick the songs that have pretty much defined my teenage years, and they're all pretty much anthems in my opinion. I must I could be really abstract and obscure with my picks but I think everybody has pretty much summed up the decade well. Really hard to pick five and I'll kick myself for forgetting something tomorrow... But still worthy mentions to Interpol, The Walkmen, Stephen Fretwell, Yeah Yeah Yeah's, the first 2 Kings of Leon albums, Laura Marling, Morrissey, The Cribs and Richard Hawley. Ahhh, too much good music I must say!
