Sean you are brilliant comedy value but its only because you missed a great part of the decade by being too young to appreciate the stokes/libertines I'm guessing?
1. The Strokes - Is This It 2. The Libertines - Up The Bracket 3. Arctic Monkeys - Favourite Worst Nightmare (any of their albums could be in tbh, Im going for presonal preference with FWN but WPSIATWIN was a far more important album so i guess should be in there as well/in place of) 4. Kasabian - Empire 5. The Coral - The Coral
Found it really hard to pick five as there are so many good albums, could have had elbow, fretwell, the cribs - the new fellas, more libertines and vampire weekend
really need to listen more to radiohead, have always liked their stuff but only ever bought pablo honey for some reason
same for muse when I get the money, as they have some class songs although they probably wouldn't be in my top 5
don't get me started on songs, far too many haha

Everone overlooks the Coral!! They only missed out on my by the skin of their teeth, but they'd be next on with the self-titled album, sheer class

I'm not very good with these lists, I can never keep my mind set on the same 5 artists for anything over one minute, but the Coral's first album would definately feature, as would the Arctic Monkeys first two, Franz Ferdinand's debut, "Is This It?" and "Up the Bracket", though I appreciate that's going over 5. Honourable mentions also include "Fever to Tell", the first two Streets albums and the last two Elbow albums

I can understand why 'is this it' etc wouldn't be in your top 5 mate, as its whats personal to you, obviously you love *enter shit band here* for whatever reason so it's in your top 5 (even if the majority of people with ears disagree) Is This It was released when I was about your age I think, reminds me of being a teenager as does the libertines etc, the decade of my teens and was class I'll attempt to name 5 songs: 1. Don't Look Back Into The Sun 2. I Bet That You Look Good On The Dancefloor (anyone remember it on soccer am? haha) 3. Hard To Explain 4. Cavorting 5. Dreaming Of You I'll be digging absolution out of gf's CDs as she has it apparently! Ive been meaning to buy ok computer for a while, think I may have the bends somewhere too haha
