What's with all this acquisitions malarkey?
dontask sent me a PM recently; telling me about this thing they do on the muse forum, here's what he said:
For a matter of fact I had spotted a good feature on a coding forum; they get achievements when completing something on their forum, for example, making 1000 posts.
Since that forum won't be releasing the code to have a proper automated system, I had a similar idea to have something in members mini-profiles that would have icons of 'S&C Releases'.
So, if you managed to get the first forum release (badge set) an icon would be shown in your profile.
Look at how all the forum releases would show up in your mini-profile

I have since developed the idea into the thing we now call 'Acquisitions', as well as icons for getting hold of forum releases, it'll also have things like 'Forum Contributions' and 'Band Related' (working titles).
The 'Forum Contributions' will be for things done for the forum, like having your idea in the 'Suggestions' board approved and used; Andy would get this acquisition for his post on having the B-Sides.
Other things could be added for making xx posts in the thoughts board or making a bootleg to be download in the audio board etc etc.
The 'Band Related' would be things like having Bide Your Time 7" or maybe the complete discography.
Or more personal by having a picture with the band??
All the acquisitions haven't been worked on yet as I've been developing the code in the mini-profile and sub-board but once I'm happy with the final look I will be getting on with the list.
cb has been (slightly) involved with the list of acquisitions but if you want to suggest anything for inclusion then please post, nothing too stupid though but maybe we could have a 'mentioned Busted too many times' for Sean

taken this idea from the muse forum. a "keeper of" thing were you put it in your signature as, for example "Keeper of the James part in WTYSL" or anything like that. only one person may be a keeper of a certain thing. must be an active member and may only have 3 things.
