Uuuuum, as I said, irrelevant. More poems people pleeeeeeease! BRING BACK SCRUFF!! CITY ZEN SCRUFF The crowd they clambered for his return His words were spent, his muse was burned Lines dont come easy, these times were hard Then his eyes they saw the glory and the coming of the bard In the Manchester sky, a cloud formed like a beard and only the frazzled eyes of Scruff didnt think that this was wierd Oh William, it was really nothing, my mind was just elsewhere He said I forgive you son, but this is your cross to bear You will write for the people, and they will know your name But they wont know your face, and they'll never know your game Write about this City, its history and its times And soon my son your time will come with reason and with rhymes So with new faith I jumped in my Ford Cortina back in time, to the love of the Courteeners I wrote of acid days and toxic nights Of Island days and chemical skies The Roses and The daffodils Painted Kailedescope Walls, and bellyaches and pills Further back in time, the lawman puts us down and ahead again as Gazza scores and the Irish hit the town Turning on my black and white TV Golden Days on silver screen Ghosts of the Industria, lies within the cities walls Waterways to bygone days and voices fill the halls So the muse returned, the city turned And Scruff walked on his merry way To who knows where and who knows why And crowds began to sigh

Love it, nice one scruff. Well said and that about lines being hard and everything, I know how it is like so fair play for expressing it. Fingers crossed for some more from myself soon, starting to run dry for a while.

I feel like i'm on second album syndrome.. lol IE everything you lot liked was my debut album built up over the years... and now you like my stuff i'm pressured to come up with the goods. So that one was a little play on words to express that feeling Theres more coming ;D

FIRST AND ONLY BREATH
I wake, thoughts of memories, life denied Sifting through the detritus Searching for all the things I will miss Realisation its too late I have yet to anticipate the vagaries of existence My dreams are twisted by redundancy of time I try to scream about but cannot find the life I explore my own existence feelings all a haze The things still yet to dream Vanished in a daze To the ether my unformed words float towards the sky Clouds shelter my ignorance I have only recognition of shattered recompense My only thoughts are of the blood i've cried What sheltered force is the beauty of the ride Serene my journey unto the day Hallucinate prophetic gaze The twisted mind of a long dead ghost Inside my soul the twisted host

MOSCOW
People in time, no more than passing references to each other Find truths and half truths by not running for cover But communication on a one to one basis No one believes in God, we believe God's an Oasis Do we control our own destiny? Is the real God going to stand up soon Revealing himself as a Las Vegas junkie Rolling dice at the devils table and howling at the moon For each misguided roll he allows his counterpart to show his hand And each double six means a one man band
So if each of us is God, then can we be bought We're counterbalanced by good and evil thoughts Karaoke lives, speaking the words to someone elses soundtracks Got to go forward when we want to go back Pre programmed destiny seekers for whom destiny is wrote Turning the pages until we get to the end of the joke
Some of us are writing not reading Once you reach a level of understanding that no more can be said Then its all downhill from there, filling in time, rounding up friends Trying not to notice the hate The media distortion of the truth Self centred egotistical bigots of a self imploding world And the devils are all suspicious of youth A Graveyard of lost souls looking for meaning in the shapes Surfing the superhighway, looking for a lay by in haste Drowning in self concioussness each day Watching thoughts of real life float away Staring at the world in high pixel resolution through infected eyes Listening to garbled echoes of selfishness and wondering why Stealing moments of happiness in the shape of gold coins and meaningless paper. Looking for Jesus instead of the saviour
Who's going to save us, whos got seventh proof Who sees the bullshit and is going to tell us the truth?
I myself am as far away from God as the next man Cant know all the answers until we know who we are Belief in ourselves the only salvation And the only true faith isnt really that far

AND THEY'RE OFF
And they're off now for the Courteeners Grand Prix Its going to be a cracking race i'm sure you will agree The cars are bunched as we approach the first turn And sure enough the Kamikaze Jap already has tyres burned Its Vettel with pedal to the metal who has the early lead Alonso on a go slow and Hamilton needs some speed Shocking news here on lap 20, Lewis needs a rest McLaren has just confirmed the daft twats failed a drugs test Now Ferrari take up the running Raikkonen hits the pole What Kubica did to upset him nobody will ever know Jensen hits the nitro button and now he's going faster Jarno is truly f**ked behind him, but hes not a cheating b*st*rd Only Glock can now beat the clock, he hits the accelerator the chequered flag could be in the bag, no feeling ever greater So its Raikkonen from Button from Glock and Barrichello at the back but who's this now leading the attack F**k me its Ayrton Senna coming through in the ghost car And now James Hunt the cheeky c**t, being dead will make you go far Its all over all the drivers have crashed shocked at what they are seeing the crowd are spooked and old Murray Walkers fleeing Senna and Hunt are on the podium, their helmets under their arms but their heads are still in the helmets and theres cause for alarm But Lewis stands in 3rd place, hours later but he finished coked to the eyeballs and in a Vauxhall Nova, reputation diminished He takes his shield and his magnum of champagne Hunt and Senna take a drink and it sprays out of them like rain On a deserted track the race is well and truly run The first Courteeners Grand Prix was surely a lot of fun

i got my head in the sky, but not cus im arrogant, just trying to reach the sun, but your a sycophant, you keep my head below the clouds, where i can still see the grey, and the rain can still soak me through, and extinguish any flair, or creative spark that i once had, the concept that made me dare, to try something so unauthentic, but in this world we live, authenticity is valued above innovation, but i wont conform to this shite, i'll live in my own world, and paint your beige wonderwalls bright.

Well dontask, to be honest I don't write about other people because I'm living my own life and go through a million and one different emotions every day, but I can't look at someone else and see what they are going through, you could walk past an average looking bloke in the street and he could be a psycho rapist serial killing billionaire drug dealer (a little OTT maybe), but you won't know it. Basically I have enough things going on myself to write about, and I'm never really concerned for the well being of anyone else except myself, my family, and a couple of close friends, so why would I write about someone that I couldn't give a crap about? Especially considering I don't know the first thing about their emotions/ situation in life.
