Seeing as the remasters and the Rock Band thing was released today, thought I'd start a thread for the "toppermost of the poppermost", "the Fab Four" etc etc. Any thoughts, favourites, memories, opinions, anything really! Not just on the remasters and the Rock Band game (though feel free to comment), anything to do with them.

I bought Revolver today so I'm going to give it a listen. They were wayyyyyyy before my time. They were before the time of everyone else on here (apart from Ian who was paying to see them with his pension in the early days), it's no excuse! Well in for getting Revolver, best place to start I reckon. What I did was start at the middle then work my way through that way, my favourite stuff is mostly on A Hard Day's Night/Help!/Rubber Soul/Revolver

Help! and Rubber Soul are my favorite Beatles albums. Could listen to them anytime no matter what type of mood I'm in.

Beatles are one of not many bands I didn't get into through Courteeners. My first album was Please Please Me, which I still hold in my highest regard, along with every beatles album. Heard them all including the past masters and Magical Mystery Tour, and it's all stunning. I've got them all apart from Let It Be and Abbey Road, got Revolver/ With The Beatles/ Beatles For Sale on vinyl and rest on CD. My 2 favourites are probably Revolver and the self-titled album (White Album) simply because the tunes are amazing on them, and Revolver probably has more flow than alot of Beatles albums. If they cut the crap out of White Album (revolution 9 and piggies) then it would be my favourite Amazing band, never made a 'not good' album, which is what makes them what they are really.

I adore the Beatles. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, Revolver, Rubber Soul, The Beatles (The White Album) and Abbey Road are my favourites.

The Beatles never made any truly memorable tunes, but they made their names on albums really I suppose, and the fact that they never made a bad one. Buuuuut, if I was to pick a favourite few then........... When I'm Sixty-Four And Your Bird Can Sing Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da Act Naturally could think of a few more though

Sorry, I put that across wrong. What I meant was, you don't associate The Beatles with great tunes, you associate them with great albums, wheras with alot of bands, they get associated with a handful of songs rather than their albums. Just an opinion, still love them, grea tunes, but you don't remember the tunes, you remember the albums. Hope that cleared things up
