this picture may give a better idea as to what liams guitar is, by the way. personally, i still think its a casino. www.nme.com/photos/1/312/2/this-weeks-nme. a lot of the music press seems to be quite patronising to the courteeners, dismissing them as thick gobby mancs, thankfuly the NME seem to have a good opinion on them, probably down to links with their manager and the NME or sumat like that

Well i can buy one off the internet for £329 with a hard case and considering the cases are like £70 id say thats the best deal so far (its the dot inlay).
Im still deciding on the colour, its either cherry or the one thats black with a brownish middle (i think its sunburst)
And yea im almost positive its a casino aswell mate

aye your onto a good deal there mate. id go for cherry personally, im not too keen on the sunburst ones. the white-ish ones are fair smart. massive marshall for 99 quid? thats mint! im a fender amp user myself but you dont say no to that kinda price, do you. aye lets hope some mug sells another one on the cheap. what amp you use at the moment?

Well i had a shitty Squier strat and amp, but i sold them to my mate (which is probably why he bought the marshal). Im not sure what size the amp was or its watt, but id say it woulda cost £300 - £350 brand new, so it might be maybe 100 watt. Im hoping for a Vox or Orange at christmas time

aye, i dont mind squier stuff, it depends how much you pay. like the more expensive squier stuff isnt too dissimilar to the cheaper fenders. good choice of amp there, i dislike vox's myself, they're good amps but i dunno, they dont have their own sound, a mate of mine has a vox and whenever i use it is it just dunt feel anything special. oranges are top though, pricey but absoloute sheer quality
iv finally reached the definate conclusion of what liam frays guitar is, im 100 per cent sure of this one - its a cherry red epiphone casion but the thing that made it distinctive is that the usually white scratch plate has been taken off

Yea plus The Casino (I think) is the only epiphone to have the bridge part going right the way across it.
Yea its a shame about the Orange amps being so dear, I'll just hope i can get Marshall amp cheap like my mate. I know there probably the best amp make out there, but my reason for not wanting one was just because too many people use them.
What u think of Peavey?

aye, thats why i like my fender amp so much. it has the quality of a marshall, and marshalls are top notch, but they look a bit different and its a different sound to a marshall. peaveys are top, a mate of mine has a peavey, they're r8 good. well priced as well, you get good value cos they're top amps

i had one of them marshall mg100hdfx mine was the head and separate cab though, theyre shite, do not get one. it hasnt got its own sound just sounds really cheap and horrible,
the amp i use now is a marshall avt 50 head, still quite cheap but sounds a lot better than the dfx, i think its beacuse it has a Valve in it.
that orange cab looks mega, i might indulge in one of those in the new year

aye, thats the risk with a lot of marshalls, they dont have their own sound at all. certain ones are good, most 100 watt ones are rubbish i find

Which amp would sound good with the Dot? Im wanting a Courteeners/Oasis/Babtshambles kinda sound.
I dont want a small one but dont want a massive one, id say a 100 watt one would do me fine.

funnily enough i was in a guitar shop trying out amps with a dot yesterday, and im after the same thing as what you are, and this one blew me away, its cheap for what it is, 30 watt valve amp, but cos its valve it goes as loud as a 70 watt normal amp, i didnt believe the guy at first but when i tried it out i found out it was true. its a top amp, heres the link, its absoloutely immense: www.guitarampkeyboard.com/en/74130
