What are The Courteeners doing now?

I didn't expect dates this side of Christmas, so I hope the rumours are true, didn't expect Manchester before the album release either (assuming the album release is post-Christmas as its looking like now).
Them Coachella videos are class, teasing us though by not putting up "The Good Times Are Calling" and "Sycophant" which were broadcast at the time

I'm sure that the new videos haven't been put up because the people who do it hadn't heard of them, just a guess, otherwise I think they would be up, won't be on purpose.

to be honest, is there any need to play manchester before the 2nd album comes out?
i would remain quiet for a while, release the album early 2010, then milk it with manchester dates.
in all fairness, playing manchester in december without the 2nd album out would be dodgy.......we all know that the 1st album tunes are quality, but there is no need to tour with just those songs again.
i say, release the album.....announce a tour without manchester just to warm up, then announce a massive tour with a manchester date(s) and milk it big time.

It is strange to do some dates before the album, but who says that the album won't be released in December along with these dates, who knows? I honestly don't think that they will do anything before the album is out, but, as I said, who really knows if the album is going to wait until 2010, let's wait and see

i think they'll wait until jan/feb to release the album, more chance of getting a number 1 album then.

I think that CB quoted Liam as saying early 2010, and if so then I can't see any December dates, just rumour.

where would they play in manchester though? they've sold out academy 1 and the apollo, but i'm pretty sure they couldn't sell out LCCC or the MEN. Personally i think they should play the apollo again.

I'm happy for them to do Manchester before the album is released. If they do decide to do another warm-up tour, excluding Manchester, I won't be too fussed as I'll get to a few of those dates anyway. Hope the rumours are true though. Hopefully, another Apollo or Academy1 show. I don't want G-Mex!

yh g-mex was pretty terrible for arctic monkeys. shame really, cos there's great potential there for big shows, a sort of half-way house between the apollo and places like MEN and LCCC. i want another apollo gig from the courteeners. more than that, HMV lol

I couldn't care in the slightest, if they did a one off in Manchester then sweet, so long as they put a good show on, won't happen though, more hype and all that if they leave it until album is out.
