That tattoo is immense!! Im thinking of getting New Romantic. Love le Marlin and was furthered when Liam covered it. Already got Love will tear us apart tho (which Liam said was 'inspirational', got bit of a hard on when he said that ), and thinking maybe too many songs is bit contrived. sorry for turning this into "what are the courteeners doing now/tattoo corner"

I want more song lyrics, but you're right, to many would just be shite. Want another Courteeners lyric, but first and formost I want a line from Looking Glass by The La's, my favourite song ever, and so many lines to choose from.

Yeah, it doesn't work like "New band the Courteeners release demo's for an album called St Jude", its just the songs that they record when they start out and the initial releases so as to generate interest, it's just what you do. No band would put out demo's before an album came out, that's just silly, and I'd not particularly want to hear demo's and get attatched to them or listen to sumat that doesn't do the song justice, like that dodgy acoustic version of Sycophant from some American hotel room. I'm fine waiting til the albums released or the first single release and that.

I think the truth is, we are all eager to hear something new, and if some sort of demo came avaliable then we'll all rush to hear it, but there is another part of us who just want to wait and hear the album as it is presented to us, if anyone denies on here that they'd hear a demo if it where offered to them then they are obviously very very patient individuals.

No demos will come out though, that never happens on albums past the debut. Sometimes bands put out a taster of a track on the album, just to wet the whistle of the fans.

I know they won't, that's what I said from the start, but I was saying that if by no chance at all they did come out then everyone would have there cocks up Liams arse and be making a mess of them demos, can't deny that you'd be eager to hear something if it came out. But as most of us have agreed, it will not happen, which I should think will work in our favour.

the whole point of demos before St. Jude, was to drum up interest & to get their voices heard surely? after the success of St. Jude they no longer need to do this. They may do something simular like release a song eary on download or something, like Kasabian did with Vlad The Impaler? but Id prefer not to hear demos before the 2nd album. who would want to open there presents before christmas day?

/agreed with jthemod on that one. its why i havent listened to any leaked humbug aside from pretty visitors cus it was on the radio, and have only listened to eurasia and uprising from muse's resistance. i dont like not having any surprises left when it comes to full listen.
personally i hope we get one rock n roll single from the lads (backed with there is a light that never goes out from liverpool) n then the album before we hear anything else.

I don't ever listen to leaked stuff - I'll go and get AMs album next monday and hammer it in the car all week!
I haven't heard hardly any of the new courteeners stuff - I'll just wait! Will be like christmas day when I get to hear the good quality versions in full!

21 pictures up on the myspace of recording, Liam sporting a rather nice white Gretsch as well, quite a bit of organ knocking about and a few acoustics...
