TBH, I didn't expect a sudden announcement, I was expecting a winter release simply because we aint heard that much about it until now, so nice to know it's only 2 months off. Something different to go with the new look maybe, can't wait.

Just heard it now Cal, sounds like The Automatic or something, a little boring. I much prefer 1st album to the second so I idealy want more similair to that, but ultimately it will be more Fave Worst Nightmare.

Sounds like the Automatic? Really? I think Crying Lightning is a good tune. I have no quarms with that being on the album.
I would have prefered fire and The thud to have been left off the album. It has been around for a long time now, although I imagine this version will differ from the one we have been able to here for the past year, but still. There ar eonly 10 tracks so would have prefered another unheard track on there.
Can not wait for this album. Looking forward to Turners lyrics more than the tunes in a way.

i wasnt keen on the whole 'desert sessions' idea. im also not keen on them all looking like wierdos having really long hair, side partins and beards! 10 tracks may be short, but it could be good for the quality of the album. it could ensure 10 great tracks......as with 13-14 song albums, there is usually room for a couple of bad uns. i wasnt too keen on the tracks i heard from them new zealand gigs, should be very interesting to hear the record! i still think they should have split after the 2nd album...... im hoping theyl prove me wrong

splitting after the second album just leaves us wondering how great they actually are tho doesnt it?
josh homme will be good for them i think, i always liked QOTSA just sometimes abit too american for me so it should be a good influence.
think fave worst nightmare was better but some of the b-sides should have defo made it on the album instead of say this house is a circus or d is for dangerous.

Sorry, I'm not a big Monkeys fan, don't like hear any demos and stuff, first I've heard of that song, that's why I made the automatic comparison.

I love house is a circus!! It perfectly describes a house we used to get wrecked in...
I hope it's good I love the monkeys but they need to pull something good out the bag as everyone will be waiting for it to be a pile of shite...tbf I think favourtie worst nitemare is a quality album...
They do lack something when you see them live though but the quality of the tunes makes up for it!
