Edgar Jones's Free Peace are also supporting on the Saturday and Sunday. I'm going on the Thursday. Will be getting there to watch Wheel. Getting to town at about 9am for breakfast and getting on the beer nice and early.

not a clue about a taxi
got an email of ticketmaster with info on transport and that hope this helps:
Buses: There are buses from Manchester City Centre nonstop direct to the concert. These buses go from LEVER STREET (near Piccadilly) and CORPORATION STREET (near Victoria) and return there at the end of the concert.
Park and Ride: Follow the road signs. The parking area is not too far from the concert so at the end of the night you may be quicker to walk back rather than wait for the shuttle buses.
Trams will run from Victoria in the City Centre and from Bury to both Heaton Park station and Bowker Vale station. At the end of the concert only Bowker Vale will be open
And for those interested in showtimes: Gates open - 14:00 Free Peace - 17:05 (Saturday & Sunday only) Twisted Wheel - 17:45 The Enemy - 18:30 Kasabian - 19:30 Oasis - 21:00 Show ends - 23:00

wheel on at 5.45!? bloody hell big wait from 2.00 Yea thats why I don't plan on going in at 2pm. I'll wait until about 5:15-5:30 before going in. I'm not paying £3.50+ a pint at the venue.
