Next on the agenda...* Welcome Table - the bit at the top where it says "Hey, XXXXX, you have XX messages, X are new." * Info Center - the table at the bottom showing all the forum stats. * Work out how to display the Deviating boards to guests. * Work out how to use the 'feature boxes' as links to the boards. Currently the links to the feature boxes of Thoughts & Review Panel have been disabled because they are displaying the boards heading images instead of the proper boxes. Well I never  I've completed a few things on my list, just leaves displaying the 'Deviating' boards for guests & Info Center With all the changes I reckon the look of the forum is really coming together now, sorry if you don't like change but I'm sure it's for the best. The new welcome table/banner is far better to look at than the big banner we used to have, just trying to figure out how to have a different banner for each board now & do away with the images some boards already have (e.g. Gigs, Projects etc). I also think the changes to the main page and the removal of most of the text description and all the other crap, it's made it easier to use and look at. Opinions?  |

Hmmm... seems like bribery will have to be the answer to get you lot voting. Right... I'm going to make a new forum badge as another give-a-way but you will only receive one if you vote in the poll & by posting your opinions in here as well. That means anyone who have already voted in the poll will have to post if they want a badge  Say anything about the new look, feel of the forum, what you like or don't like.... do it! I will leave this open until I've finished putting new banners into all the boards, so I think that give you a few weeks to vote I could be making just 4 badges or maybe a shed load if everyone does this! More info on the badge soon... |

i think it looks great darren, although as i am used to the old layout this a change, a good one at that. I especially like how the pm scheme works, when you click it another drop down bar appears. I think it gives the forum a different feel, as the bar is not overpowering the top post, as sometimes if the thread first post was a long one you would have to scroll down, with this you no longer have this problem. Overall i would give it a 8/10, its top mate. edit //// Just gone over to the off topic section in devaiting and noticed you have also changed that, looks top, i love how the icons fit nicely above the picture, is there a reason for the clock being that time btw hah? EDIT :after just changing my browser zoom level to 100% from 85& which is my normal setting, the forum looks alot better, the header looks top and is just the right size, also it is a straight line from that to the outlines of posts. If you see what i mean. so yes overall very good.
(i guess doing 10 a3 pages on analysis of designs came in handy.)

Nice one lads, your both down for a badge now, although cb does deserve his; that's what I'm taking about! Constructive and informative comments, nice one Must try harder Sean but thank you for actually posting and voting. This could easily be the lowest release in the history of S&C! With only CB & Sean actually having posted and voted I'll only need to make up 2 badges  Maybe people are waiting to see what the badge looks like until they waste their time?? Oh yeah the badge is b&w with the new logo, a very simple affair, just working on some simple packaging. Hmmm... I don't know if I should leave this a bit hidden away for people to actually find or announce the release with a PM... I'll think about it... |

No worries Sean, all has been made clear in the first post now, also added a list of who will be getting a badge in the 2nd post... your on it & thanks for the further comments The badge just simply has "Snorting & Cavorting" with a few b&w lines across it, tried to make it look like the forum layout... in a space of 25mm!! Hope it's alright?? I'll post a picture when I've finished it. Edit >Here's a picture of the badge, full pictures have been added to the opening post and shows off the sticker I've now added to the set.  |

I personally love the look. But I think that the most important part of it is that it is more attractive to new members, the old look was bland but it stands out alot now and people will look forward to posting when they join. The links at the top to the poets corner etc etc are great aswell. It's just generally more attractive and is sort of becoming an idividual, hard to explain. It isn't just your standard forum, it can be identified because of the changes |
