The XX album whilst walking into town this morning, sounds even better than when I first heard it, must have been the no distractions and drowning everything else out  Dismissed them a moody bastards, but I've listened to it a couple of times recently and I think it's growing. Been listening to The Xcerts and Dinosaur Pile Up recently. |

Everyone seems to think The XX as moody bunch,but they seem pretty good.But i was hoping Biffy would of won the mercury award

they sort of are moody bastards, but its deep, minimalist and very beautiful sounding for it.
I love biffy, but they are big enough, Mercury is there to propel acts and should stick to it (Im looking you, Arctic Monkeys. Klaxons)

I haven't got time for a lot of new modern music, only a select few bands.
For me its all about old rock'n'roll so a lot of The Rolling Stones at the moment. Would recommend Monkey Man or Gimme Shelter on the Let It Bleed record.
