Not heard anything but I know whilst on my myspace message mission I got a PM from a lovely lady who owns her own booking/artist management company; she's already contacted them about their tour plans, very early days, so who knows what will happen? I also did see a post somewhere in S&C about Liam suggesting they would head over to the west coast or something like that but nothing has officially been mentioned West Coast (me) just got screwed. They posted on thier official myspace that no Oakland with Moz. Someone on Morrissey-solo posted theyve spoke to Campbell and Cupps after last nights Moz show in El Paso TX (14/4/09) and they told him they are NOT playing Oakland on the 18th with Moz and are heading back to the UK to record the next Lp.....

I'd rather see them do more gigs in the U.S., specially whilst their getting some coverage! The American's seem to want them, so why not stay on a bit longer, a few more weeks isn't going to hurt

The West Coast is much hipper on indie/Uk bands than the East Coast so, Courteeners could carry gigs in L.A., Frisco, Seattle possibly even Phoenix and San Diego all on their own. Not MASSIVE venues but, 200-300 ones. Whats ONE more week, fellas?

yeah, i can see where your coming from there Darren! But they might be trying to make the 2nd album and i dunno 'launch' it in America too? Might be thinking a few month back in the UK might give people time to find out about them over there properly or something . . .

hmm, whats the latest then? They back in England or are they still over there? Anyone know? They are gone. Some guy posted on the Morrissey-solo site that he spoke to them after their gig with Morrissey in Texas or New Mexico. They told him that after Coachella they were on a flight back to the UK to start recording the second Lp. Guess I'll have wait til end of this year or next to finally see them.

I reckon they might be finishing off the second album because I'm sure I remember Liam sayin in an interview, around the time 'That Kiss' came out, that they had recorded some new stuff for it then, so I'm guessin they may try and get it out in time for the festivals which would be fantastic
If not it may come out october with a winter tour? who knows they may go back then after playing the UK if demand is high enough, depends on promoters in the US

I reckon they'll have it recorded for mid June or so, then get out do all the festivals and that, get a single out in August for summer etc, will build up nicely over the festivals, then release the album September/October with a smallish tour just before the release and a bigger venues one before Christmas. Put money on it

Good Times are Calling for a summer single, it'll be a quality hit, best I've heard of new stuff. I'm not going to predict when anything will be out be I can asure you that I will be wrong whichever way I put it. I hope for June/ July, but that aint all that long away.

I'm some sick way I kind of hope the nu Lp comes out closer towards the end of this year. By then the economy in both the US & Uk should be better than where its at now. That would mean a more beneficial tour all around for the lads. Right now's not the best time to drop an album. Everyone's got their ca$h under their mattresses and don't want to spend it on "leisure" stuff.
