Finally I can get to go see The Courteeners again! Would be doing both dates if I wasn't seeing Elbow on the Saturday. Guess my Salford Reds season ticket is going to have to go to waste as I'd rather see The Courteeners on the Friday night than go to the Willows!!!

I think the Wheel are alright but not a patch on the Courteeners, She's A Weapon and the b-sides to Lucy the Castle are really good, and Smash It Up, but Lucy the Castle itself and You Stole the Sun and a few others I've heard don't really do it for me. This just in from NME.COM; Liam Fray: We have the best fans in the world and the thought that they were handing over £200 through Seatwave and eBay to ticket touts to see us really annoyed me, so we thought we'd take control and put another date on for them all to come and see us for a fair price." Much respect and thanks

He's good isn't he. Forever for the people, though I think that some people are out of there minds to pay £200 for a pair of tickets, must be at deaths door, other chances have and will come to see them, no matter how good a band is I would never pay that much to see them. Well, maybe with the odd exception if a comback was in place.

That is silly money
Saw some on ebay before, was like 72 quid for 2 tickets
Even that is too much in my opinion, like you said there will be plenty other gigs, not a comeback, one off special

i think i'd pay anything if i liked the band enough, the enjoyment is more important than the money i think.
i saw the nme thing, proper sound, good man.

Correct, it's not worth paying out that much when you will probably follow it with months of financial struggle, like I said, if it was a quality bands last ever gig then I would pay alot but never £200 for a pair of tickets. Rediculous. Liam said that it annoyed him, you know that people have to go to them extents to see the band, I just think that it's funny that they did pay that much and they have put another show on sale now, senile pricks.

Awwww he's so nice isn't he our Liam!! someone tried to tell me that their mate who is in the Chapman family said they had a support slot for them and the courteeners were arrogant! I said not a chance they are the nicest guys in music as far as I can tell! I've never heard a story about liam or any of the guys been rude to a fan...and you know if they had they'd brake their necks to shout it from the roof tops!!! Unfortunatley for me though I can't go to gig going to leeds nite after for my sis's birthday and just not practical to drive to liverpool nite before and then onto leeds...with credit crunch and all (no annual pay rise for cherry) but hay ho fingers crossed for them at glasto and leeds and a tour sometime this year as I have promises from lots of new fans who haven't seen them that we're having a road trip!
