i got hotel booked, premier inn liverpool (west derby). anyone know how far this is from city centre? any bars you reccomend me going to in the day time before gig? guna try go to that beatles museum too.

West derby is about 10-15 mins in a taxi from the city centre I think There's plenty bars down matthew street if your goin the beatles bit Try the Ship & Mitre down dale street but its a fair walk from the city centre, have every beer going its my favourite bar just round the corner from lectures though Its not too expensive but depneds what you buy

Why bother with a hotel, I went to liverpool with a friend to have a look at a uni one evening and we just got the train back and went out at the night, saves alot of money. I'm driving now so I could have got down there easily aswell, so all past worries about getting to a gig are out of the window, but without being stereotypical, is it safe to park your car in Liverpool city centre whilst at a gig?? I think not

i am ready for the onslaught of abuse, i went to see scouting for girls at leeds academy and they were suprisingly really good :$ to be fair it was 'sing along' but still a top night i am going to have to take cover now please don't remove me from the forum x

Ant, Liverpool is probably better for parking that Manchester, loads of my mates have had cars n that broke into in manchester. not liverpool though.
