Not Nineteen Forever was played at half time at London Road last night. I think I may have made a tit of myself infront of the other MK fans bouncing around on the terrace and singing along to it aloud anyone else have any similar sort of experiences?

anyone else have any similar sort of experiences? I went to play snooker the other week and me and my mate had just set up the table and "Please Don't" starts on the jukebox. Followed by Fallowfield Hillbilly, Bide Your Time, and the entire album except for YTAPT. It was quite surreal. Whenever I hear anything by the Courteeners on TV, in clubs, etc. its a surreal feeling because I'm used to people not knowing them. I was listening to them for along time before most people had even heard of them and in some ways I still haven't adjusted to how big they have actually got.

I'm same, I still introduce them to people like I'm introducing an unknown band

agree with the above, anyone I have ever introduced to them has loved them but I get the impression I was the only person in the away end last night that had heard of them.
suppose I must have got carried away like, not often you hear them getting the kind of exposure of being played infront of nearly 9000 fans. I'm fairly sure I heard That Kiss at one of our home games earlier in the season aswell.

if they come on in a bar I end up going roudnthe pub preaching like some jehova, to any poor bastadr that will listen!
on my summer hols last year, there was an indie club called Mad Club & they were always playing Courteeners stuff, but first night there i heard it I went nuts, and got some weird looks! but every night after that i realised it was the norm to be playing there tunes in the club. oh well.

As I was saying, my cousin does the music at edgeley park, but they got a sports reporter from BBC radio manchester to do it today, and at the end when I wne to see my cousin, the reporter played NNF, and I asked him if he liked the courteeners, and we got chatting, and it turns out he is a really close friend of Liams, and we were talking about Liam not being happy with the record label and then he went on to tell me that Liam is releasing some of him acoustic stuff, now thats news to me, he also told me of how much stuff we haven't heard from very early on. Aswell as all this, he was telling me how Twisted Wheel were once being supported by the lads, which is great to hear how much they've moved on, and that only 16 people turned up to their first gig, in which they were playing with the Ting Tings.
How crazy is all this ey?? All shaping up to be an exiting year ey.....

I was booking flights over the phone a week or two ago on the guy on the other end was a good lad. We got talking about music and he said he was a mate of liams. I was quite impressed. He opened with "Have you heard of a band called the Courteeners?" I was like "err I've seen them about 30 times."

Maybe one day, when they are the biggest band on earth, we can say, I'm a good mate of Liam/ Campbell/ Conan/ Cupello, the fuckin lot of em. I'd love to meet em in person for few drinks and that.
