Anyone bought the DVD yet ? Is it any good?
Also ive seen the limited edition in HMV which looked pretty decent, live vinyl EP and other promo stuff
anyone think its worth 30 quid though? haha

nah prob not, i wouldnt pay 30 quid for it after watching it. youl be able to download the torrent of the live thing, its only live in texas or somewhere like that. has it sold well? i havnt heard much about it. bring on the cribs dvd next year, that will be real value for money!

i wouldn't mind betting that it'll better than the arctic monkeys' one. if you didn't know the title of the DVD, you could be forgiven for thinking it was filmed in a studio. there are no crowd shots and you can barely even here the crowd. Turner sings the whole introduction to When The Sun Goes Down himself, and Mardy Bum doesn't feature.
It's not all bad though. The lads are on top form, there's guest appearances from Miles Kane and Richard Hawley, and tunes such as Nettles and Da Frame 2R are fantastic. I'd say it's worth buying, but personally i had expected something more akin to the BBC's coverage of Glastonbury 2007 beforehand.

A live dvd should be about the crowd as much as the band, it annoys me, this stunt has made them go right down in my estimations. I don't want to watch it at all, I'm not going to ruin the memories of a great night

what fergal said, ive had very little bad things to say about the band until this dvd came out. its arrogant and it makes seem like they think they are more important than the crowd. on top of that theyre not interestin enough in their stage presence to simply watch without the crowd shots.

Fergal, you are really not going to bother to watch it at all? I suppose I cant really comment thouroughly untill I have seen it myself, but that is like you. Surely you have to view it to make your own mind up. I am very excited to see it.
I love the monkeys, and I cant believe this dvd is making people question their affection for them.

they'd have to create a sh*t album for that to happen for me ben. i'll probably watch it but i cant imagine it comparing to my favoruite music dvds at all.

what are the extras on the dvd? il just stick to my 4 quid monkeys dvd from ebay...includes glasto, gonzo tour 05, london astoria 06 and a load of tv appearances. what a bargain. cant argue.

Aye but I went to the gig itself and I don't want to ruin my happy memories of the night, this has happened to a lot of people I know who went to the gig then saw the film, and I don't want it to happen to me. And I love the Arctic Monkeys, 2007 was superb and they gave me 3 great, great gigs and 1 rubbish one (G MEX) |

i dunno, there was a few on ebay for about a week in july/august 07. yeh iv been to 3 class arctic monkeys gigs and one crap one. the crap one being gmex.
