spot on dontask, everything on xfactor is shite except that Diana, the With or Without you cover gave me goosebumps, fucking amazing, hooked for the first time ever, amazing.
As for awful covers, the cover Fergal metioned is horse shite, really annoys me more than anything. U2 did a cover of Helter Skelter on Rattle and Hum, and it was pretty crap, Bono tries well to hard to shout.

i cant really judge the smiths cover, i heard the muse version first n i obviously like the band so yano.
edit: it was meant as a tribute to the smiths though so it isnt too bad in that respect

I'm suprised they chose to cover it, didn't have any of them down as Smiths fans, but even so, its not much of a tribute to the band I don't reckon, takes the soul of the song

Yeah, don't liketo admit it but they aren't very good, I think the dream a little dream cover is quite good but I love that song, but the others are pretty poor.
