fuckin fergie. seriously his moaning as of late is ridiculous, to step into that allardyce comment and then try and take the moral high ground is non sensical. if united winning the league meant he would retire, i would accept it in a heart beat.

god knows why big sam bothered bringing the rafa stuff up 6 days after the match had taken place! oh dear. fergie is being annoying, blaming the pitch... everton had to play on it aswell. its his own fault for picking players like danny welbeck, macheda and that fabio....he should have put in the 1st teamers. no point making poor excuses now.

the league & champions league is the priority so he was resting ronaldo/rooney I think for tomorrow night, then the game at the weekend followed by arsenal in the semi-final, least thing we needed was are best players getting crocked before squeaky bum time

The pitch was shocking. it's been schocking since day 1, not just since united got beat on sunday. I'm a red and i get pissed off with fergie's comments all the time, but he and wenger are right about the pitch. £757m on a stadium and they can't even lay the grass? Anyway, regardless of the pitch, we didn't play that badly on sunday overall. We dominated possession and were camped in their half for long periods. Tevez should've done better with his chance first half, as should have welbeck on a couple of occassions after half time. Although i was worried initially when i heard the team, i thought we were ok in the end. the problem was not taking chances and then bringing berbatov on, which completely deprived us of pace and initiative. As for the pens, well, it's pens isn't it.

The pitch excuses piss me off, he wouldn't have mentioned it had they won. Both teams had to put up with it and at the end of the day, if you really are the best team in the world you shouldn't have to worry about the pitch and just find the mistakes in the football and get on with it.

But given the differences in the styles of football, the pitch does affect united, arsenal, chelsea more than others, as it prevents good, flowing football. Surely this has been proved by the dull final between utd-chelsea in 2007 and the two dull semis this year.

have you realised that the two managers that complained about the pitch were both on the losing side?

moyes complained too news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/8006546.stmbut its not the reason we lost, berbatov being shite was the main reason ha, I doubt the pitch was the real reason for the team fergie picked either Every excuse he comes up with is just to divert attention from berbatov being shit and the fact he took a risk with the team he played nearly worked though as we did only go out on pens, shame 30mil pound footballers cant score pens

This guy pisses me off, god damn Arshavin, and you're right, it's exactly why we can't attack so much, it makes us to frail and we are way to slow at the back.

i think the thrashings of blackburn and villa show one thing though. its only the top teams that can expose em. four goals by arsenal and chelsea in games liverpool had to chuck forward in numbers.
