i can see liverpool getting villa if anyone does to be honest. benitez is pretty handy at getting the spaniards brought in and he used to manage valencia too.
agreed about the money, 7m for dossena compared to 5.5m for evra, maybe fergie gets more cus he hasnt got such a bad history with signings!

Btw, what does everyone make of this thing about united maybe getting tevez for a free under the bosman ruling? According to the sun, united think that if tevez terminates his contract with MSI and joorbachian, then we would technically be able to get him free, assuming we agree personal terms and pay him a fraction of the 26m demanded by joorbachian. It's most likely tabloid hype but you never know. fergie, sign him up! fergie fergie sign him up!

thats all very nice but it doesnt change that wouldnt get played as much as we wants to even if it was true. and you cant terminate a contract unless both sides agree to without one side paying compensation, the compensation in tevez' case could be massive.
veron stands out, as does forlan, but the rest of em werent that much were they? 4mill aint bad if its a gamble

next season will be lovely, hope everton n villa take further steps to catching arsenal to blur the top 4 abit and be interestin to see how stoke and newcastle do, if newcastle stay up, or hull.
but yeah next seasons title should be good, utd probably favourites to retain it again but should be interesting again at least.

what a shite season for man city, looked so promising when they were in europe just shows that all the money in the world cant make a football team, certainly improved the squad but they havent gelled just yet. i cant see many good players wanting to go there now they missed out on europe, probably attract the gold diggers even more now?!? the board should see sense and bring back sven. never wanted mark hughes and couldnt believe it when sven was sacked, he had done a good job! i see theres load of scum fans on here ;D

Hughes has a better record than Sven aswell. We need to stick with a manager for a change instead of changin coz it doesnt work.

city seem to be the richest laughing stock in the world..... they have all the money in the world, but still sign players like craig bellamy. the thing with hughes is that, although he was class at rovers, hes used to working with a small budget. now that he has loads of money, he doesnt know what to do. signing players like bellamy wont push city up into the top 4 where the owners want them to be.
shay given, top signing. wayne bridge, good signing, reliable etc...
they need to splash out this summer on genuine quality players, will be tricky to get em as theyre not in europe... and like you said, theyl prob just attract players who are just in it for the cash.

i thought bellamy has done great, when ive seen him that is.
didnt realise hughes record is better than svens, i eat my words
agree with sticking with a manger i just dont think it should be hughes, maybe another season and ill change my mind??
got to say in hughes defense the press havent helped him what so ever! the ever changing list of players pisses me off

Man city needs to realise that they can't just go out and buy the Kaka's of the world. They have to slowly build a squad rather than just go out and buy as many world-class players as possible. Proven premiership players will do for now so they can improve each year rather than attempt to become the worlds best team overnight. Shay Given was a good signing and Vincent Kompany, for what I've seen is a very adept player. I really hope city go money mental during the summer and continue their traditions of the biggest laughing stock in football. More people, wearing tea towels on their head, with cardboard cutouts of Kaka in a city shirt please. 34 Years.

I think with the players they have bought it is showing that they are slowly building.
