tevez....arsenal could do with him but cant afford him, liverpool would be interested but im sure theyd get villa or silva for cheaper (valencia are the leeds of spain) and chelsea wont bother i dont think. perhaps city is actually an option, he will be at home in manchester by now. and they are the only ones who will spend that on him i think.
ronaldo is off i think, fergie defending him in the media shows how scared he is of upsetting him.

...oh f**k.
edit: few thoughts on the pne sheff utd game
we were obviously gonna be under buckets of pressure, so really, why start with two fat ass strikers? abit of pace would have suited much better so i would have started with parkin/elliott without a doubt. with them 2 if we broke we might have nicked one but not with strikers made for air attacking.
seems like common sense more than good managing, but irvine has done a great job so who am i to say.

yeah I agree dontask, I think tevez will go city if we don't sign him cos they have by far the most money which is all his agent cares about so will go to highest bidder if united aren't interested (I think its the price thats putting us off as kia whatshisface is asking too much and we are trying to reduce the debt caused by glazers)

We will never reduce the debt caused by the Glazer takeover unless someone buys the club from them. We barely manage to afford the interest payments as it is, let alone make any inroads into reducing the debt itself. Since the Glazers bought United the debt has increased rather than been reduced.

yeah which is why we don't have the money for tevez along with the rest haha will take time to reduce the debt obviously as its a huge amount, think there talking of increasing the capacity of OT to more than wembley? another "investment" to pay the interest

ridiculous tht they spent so much on berbatov really. agree, id rather it had been spent on tevez, berbatov can be quality but so far he's just pissed me off bar a few good touches (like the one v city for tevez goal) hopefully he'll be better next season but when you spend 30 mil + on a striker you'd expect a bit more

i think it was a rare error of judgement for fergie, especially since he seems to prefer rooney and ronaldo. the only thing stopping it comparing to robbie keane is that he hasnt offloaded him.

I'd much rather have Berbatov anyday over Tevez. This season in the premier league alone Berba has scored 9 goals and made 10 assists (joint top in the league with Lampard and Van Persie). Tevez has scored 4 and made 3 assists. I know Tevez hasn't featured as much as Berba but even so Berba is a better finisher and creator overall.
Tevez grafts his b*llocks off but for all the work there just isn't enough end product and he is definately not worth the £20 odd million asking price. Berbatov was inspirational in the 2nd leg against Porto and his hold up play won us the game.
Tevez is too similiar to Rooney and we need a player who offers us more variety like Berbatov does.

Fair point, as long as were winning its all good, I just think at times that he could do a lot more, he's pissed me off more this season than impressed me so I guess thats why Im not too fond of him yet but what I can't deny is that he is world class on his day, proven that before with tottenham just wish he could do it more for us other than the above mentioned
every player has bad days etc but he's so lazy at times, that pen in the FA cup final summed it up, shocking, I just feel that we haven't got 30 million pounds worth yet, hopefully he'll make up for it at this important time, he did well V city and has next season when I think he'll come into his own with the improving side we have

neither of them are worth 30m when you think torres was 24 n hes had a much bigger impact at liverpool. henry was 14m. dont think van nistlerooy was massive money either, i just think it could have been spent better but fergie knows better than me im sure.
tevez for liverpool? benitez would be a fool...oh wait...

I think the 30mil is more because of the inflated transfer market, berbatov was wanted by city too who have an endless pot so spurs whacked the price up, torres was value for money similar to what we paid for rooney
henry and van nistelrooy were bought ages ago and the prices are ridiculous at the moment, I remember when we bought park for 4 million, seems like a right bargain now

Yea you can't compare the transfer prices of now to when Henry and Van Nistelrooy moved. The transfer market is much more inflated nowadays and Chelsea and Man City's spending power hasn't helped. We only had to pay £30m for Berbatov because city came sniffing. I really hope Tevez doesn't sign for Liverpool. He is held in such high regard and will instantly become disliked by the majority of MUFC fans for joining the bin dippers. Look at how hated Heinze is now for trying to join them. He was loved by the fans at one point. I remember when we bought park for 4 million, seems like a right bargain now True. Also, Vidic at £7m and Evra at £5.5m. Bargains!

In a way i think him going to lpool might not be that bad as I think we could potentially spend the money on a good wide player like silva from valencia, if lpool buy tevez they will have to pay big money and rafa always moans they can't spend much money (bollocks they've spent nearly as much as us the past few seasons) then he wouldn't get in the team because gerrard & torres have proved how good they are when gerrard plays just behind torres, so when they are both fit I don't see how tevez would fit in, I reckon he'll go city, lpool will only buy him to piss us off (which it will a bit) but it could end up being a waste of money, surely there are better value for money strikers out there
tevez is class and i'll be happy if he stays but I can't see it happening for the right amount of money which is why its not sorted out now
his agent will potenially ruin his career if he opts for the most money buy selling to city which looks likely at the moment
