I was in Vinyl Exchange this afternoon on Oldham Street manchester, first time, and certainly not my last. I was after some rarities by The La's, I already have Timeless Melody 12" single, There She Goes 7" single (original release) and Way Out 7" single. But I came across what I've been looking for for ages. It was the Fellin 7" EP box set with badge and cool stickers, couldn't find it anywhere else, so chuffed. Many other things I cam across were the fools gold/what the world is waiting for double A side by Stone Roses on 12", some original Beatles pressings (all around the £60 mark) which I will be looking at soon, and many many other cool rare limited edition hard to find things.
While supping on an espresso in Cafe Nero I was wondering, have any of you got anything that you would consider as your gold dust and your prized possesion, musical things that is. The La's singles are all Gold Dust to me and surely you lot have some old rare record that you love and wouldn't trust anyone with, complete with original 60's dust and that.
BTW, I recommend Vinyl Exchange for everyone, you will definitely find something you love there.

tbh I don't think I have any...I think my signed courteeners stuff will be eventually...and the red vinyl
My gold dust possesions would have to be my dogs (the westies) and my vintage snake skin hand bag with gold clasp - a fiver from a shop in stokenewington...love it!

sounds pretty mint.
i've never bought that many CDs, and no vinyls whatsoever. so my most prized physical music format thing has to be my signed What Took You So Long single. that free gig and the signing after it were just amazing. such an amazing night, and that CD just evokes the memories

found a first inital pressing of imagine by john lennon at a car boot many years ago and picked it up for a quid, i should think it's worth quite a lot.
white label of columbia by oasis signed by noel should be worth a bit

My Dad's keeping hold of a sealed copy of Going Underground from the original pressing and all that, dunno how much its worth, doubt much over a tenner now, he says he's holding out for Weller to die....sentimental

Loads of Roses but the best has to be the promo 12" to their debut single "So Young/Tell Me" (got the original & bootleg 12" singles too)

Ive loads of Stone Roses but not a clue if they are original pressings etc, wouldn't know how to find out either
Got Sally Cinnamon 12" from vinyl exchange a while back, thats probably my gold dust
Or Revolver 12"
Depends if they're actually worth much I guess

My copy of Deffo Maybe just because of all the coke that been sniffed off it. Be Here Now would have been a more fitting tribute
